Changing the gaskets and cleaning the EGR values helped me resolve my CEL code without having to worry about interference. As a precaution, I bought another set of pads just in case the issue occurs An F350 from 2006 There are no Powerstrokes.

I carry this along with the other EGR valve that I have in my truck, a 6" one. I install these new o-rings and clean the spare EGR valve on the road while the EGR gets plugged up, so I switch out the EGR valves on the road and replace the EGR valves. Rings are good, I like them.

The replacement of the original

Check the oiling and seating of the egr valve as mine did not seat properly, causing a CEL to come on and black smoke to escape. So far, the system has been working fine after being taken off and reinstalled.
