Fel-Pro 73014 EGR Gasket

Laramie 4x4 with a 7L Cummins Diesel engine. I was worried that this part wouldn't be the right graphite seal for my 2017 Ram 2500HD 6. The original part that came with the EGR System lines when the vehicle's engine was assembled will be replaced by a 7L Cummins Diesel Engine. I bought the car nearly 5 years ago as a brand new vehicle, so I was watching a few videos about the 67,500 mile service that was required. What irritates me the most is that, as far as I recall, the vehicle manual makes no mention of this type of service, but it is suddenly required and strongly recommended by every dealership across the country. THE COST: $1,000- Cleaning the EGR Valve and EGR Cooler, as well as replacing the CCV filter, will cost $1400. Definitely a steep price to pay for such "major" maintenance when going into service! Hm! However, I am by no means a mechanic, and neither here nor there is any technical advice, but I chose to do everything myself. It took me two hours and twenty minutes. All of that service was completed in three days, including having the EGR cooler cleaned and dried completely after being washed with water to remove all of the detergent that was supposed to remove the smooth carbon deposits. Both the EGR Valve and the EGR Cooler were extremely dirty, so I would recommend this 67,500-mile service. So, at least for my year model, this Mahle metal seal is the right part! I am pleased with the part and its quality, as well as the fact that it arrived on time for my project.

I had re- I used this the first time I had to pull a part and clean it, and it worked fine. The second time I had to remove the crossover tube was to replace the engine thermostat, and it worked fine. Well, it appeared to be a tight fit at the time, but 2,000 miles later, I hear an exhaust leak. Because I had returned the first purchase, it was simple to look through my previous orders and place another order. This time, I installed it a few days later, and it worked perfectly.
