The lip of an LQ4 does not fit in the bore of the machine.
It was worth the price after getting used to it versus the old style compressor with hose clamps, but there were two heavy burrs along the bottom that had to be removed and blended before you could use it. The only thing that kept me from giving it five stars are the burrs. Thanks to this tool, I was able to install pistons in my 68 Ford 289 so easily!.
The first thing I did was return the product because I thought it was poor quality. In order to borrow his tapered ring compressor, I called my friend who is an engine builder. When I explained to him that I was having trouble with this one, he quickly explained that it doesn't fit in the cylinder, but it aligns with it. No problems with the installation of all eight pistons. I think this product is excellent.
garbage. If you tried to get a 4 inch piston into it, you'd never be able to get it working. A lot of burrs are present, as well as oil rings that It is devoid of a round shape as well. The quality of the video is very poor. Do not get an ARP compressor just because it is cheap.
An aeropiston. It worked flawlessly after I filed a few little burs off and used it a few times. I have run 24 pistons through it so far.
The 0 4" is not the right size. Fits the LS 6, but not the LS 7. The size 0 is too big for the size.
Pistons could be installed with ease using the tool. The problem has not been encountered. The SBC is used for a rebuild.
It is far superior to the type that I am super pleased with this product!.
