NewYall Cylinder Head Rear Cam Plug

In order to stop the oil leak on my '02 Honda Civic 1, I was sure that I would need to replace the valve cover gasket. The seventh letter. After doing a little research, it turns out this little plug has a bad reputation. There is no need to worry about it. It takes only a few minutes. The old one just pops straight off with a flathead screwdriver, and the new one simply clicks in place. Taking time to open the packaging was more time-consuming than the installation itself. With that, there was no more leak of oil. The engine only has about fifty miles on it, but prior to this, it would start slow dripping after just a minute or two of idle. I'll use the update function if it fails within a short period of time. It has been roughly one month since I installed it, and I have run approximately 1200 flat, easy miles since then. There has already been a failure at this part. A full synthetic oil change and an oil flush were performed prior to installing it. We cleaned and prepared all surfaces properly before installing the motor, and it did not overheat at any time. This car is not driven fast or hard and there is no reason for it to fail so soon. There is nothing but shoddy workmanship involved here. The old plug has been discarded, and I cannot remove the new one and return it. It's an inexpensive part, so no big loss, but it is extremely frustrating when something so simple as an O-ring does not work When considering that the original part lasted 200,000 miles, a new ring will likely last no more than a few weeks.

The oil began leaking after installing (quick and easy). Within half an hour, the engine block and driveway were covered in oil. In case you put this in and don't pay attention, all the oil will leak out, and your engine will fail catastrophically. A leaking seal WILL leave you stranded at some point! It is not a question of if, but when. What is even worse is that this product costs more than a Beck Arnley brand, which is the top brand in the gasket/seal market! Your mechanic can help you! Examined the item when I got it in. The rubber seal was too small according to my observations. The seal did not form after I installed it anyway. There is a loss of oil. Perhaps if the rubber seal was a little larger, then it could.

This immediately began leaking oil when it was installed and I pulled to make sure it was not a poor installation I did not damage the ring and it wasn't. It did not seem to fit well Replaced the plug with an OEM Honda plug instead, threw the old one in the trash.
