included the large bearing, shown in the picture in the center, which has a shaft that travels through the large bellows to drive the motor. It is lubricated by an external grease nipple that is part of regular maintenance on my boat, so it is not a permalube bearing.

How many things are you doing at the moment? The gimbal kit is only available if the kit is complete. If you've never done this before, you'll need a gimbal puller, a long 5/16 flex nut driver, and you might need a boot puller. You can watch videos on how to do this on YouTube.

It is true. The Alpha 1 Gen 1 can use it

Does this part come from a Mercruiser boat? Do you need to grease the bearing or is it sealed? Can I also ask if this is for a Bravo?

The majority of the items were parts for Mercruisers. In place of the zerk fitting, the bearing has a plug that goes behind the grease hole. A mistake was made with the unit in my kit Joint boot, had to deal with Busters Marine, whose customer service was absolutely horrible. The company isn't someone I want to do business with!

Because these are original equipment manufacturer parts, I paid 3 times as much as I would have for copies of this set of boots*they are very disappointing.
