"Tried the first motor mount and it wouldn't fit without modification," the mechanic explained. " When it came to choosing the right motor mounts, I was extra cautious. I went through three levels of car specifications before deciding on what I wanted. Furthermore, the mounts were not compatible. The vehicle is a 1997 Honda Civic DX Sedan, for your information. I don't recall any other specifications, but they were detailed enough to indicate that the mounts were supposed to work.
I bought this set because it was reasonably priced. On my 99 Honda Civic d16y8 engine code, I replaced all five mounts. All of the mounts fit perfectly, no adjustments were required, and they were simple to put together. Although I read in the comments that some people had difficulty, I did not have that problem. The bottom mount, next to the air conditioner compressor, is a little tricky. Slide it on as far as you can, then twist the mount inward until it locks into place. These are something I'd buy again.
They don't seem to be too bad they seem just like the OEM ones for the manufacturer but I must say when I installed the new one there was a difference in the car and the vibration was dampened a lot doesn't vibrate as much but the old ones I had were stock and 21 years old but they seem to be great on my car and the best valve for the price fitment was a little bit off so it could use a little bit.
My motor mounts were 180 dollars at Autozone before I bought these. I returned those and received a refund, after which I purchased these and had them installed. They're a perfect fit, and my car already looks and feels brand new. Let's see if they can withstand the test of time. I recommend that everyone get these for the time being, unless you want the lifetime warranty from Autozone, in which case I can understand.
My 99 Civic Ex was a perfect fit for these mounts.
ON MY 1996 CIVIC 1, THESE WORK EXTREMELY WELL. 6 VTEC 5 SPEED I HAVE ONLY USED 3 OF THE 5, BUT THEY HAVE PERFORMED WELL SO FAR.
