It's how I refer to my 78 Corvette's 350 small block.
For a 1995 TBI conversion, use a 2104 Edelbrock carburetor and an edelbrock 1406 carburator.
Is this compatible with Vortec heads?

I was so excited to get this because it was my first Edelbrock product that I installed it on a freshly rebuilt motor and began torqueing it down when it cracked. It hadn't even been torqued all the way down at this point. As you can see, the bolt holes did not cause it to crack.
This intake was purchased to complete my conversion of a 1988 Chevy pickup from a tbi to a carburetor. It works flawlessly and has a lot of low-end torque. I did, however, change out the heads. carb. The truck now runs flawlessly, and it was heartbreaking to see the photos of the one guy who installed his intake backwards. I suppose it's just a case of "live and learn. " Update. A manual fuel pump will not work in a 1988 Chevy C1500 pickup with a factory roller cam. The pump and pushrod are drilled into the block, but there is no lobe on the cam to run them. It is necessary to use an external electric fuel pump. This is a case of live and learn for me.
It fits perfectly on a 1985 Chevy C10 with a 305 engine and looks great.
On a small block Chevrolet engine, it provides smoother running all around, and I've had nothing but success with Edelbrock products. I had to use an adapter to mate the carb to the intake with the original intake (spreadbore for a quadrajet), which didn't work for me.
Everything went smoothly; the only thing left to do was grind the tabs on the sides so that valve covers could be installed. I wish I had known that I could do it on the bench instead of on the engine, but it's not a big deal.
I like the product, and it arrived early, but there were no installation instructions or what you needed to plug all of the unused orifices. Thankfully, a printout from my local O'Reilly's store confirmed my suspicions.
Hey, this is Elderbrock, and it works, fits, and performs fantastically. When shipping costs are factored in, this was the best deal I could find.
Awesome.
