Although this vendor does provide good quality original BMW components, these bolts are nice.

When replacing the starter on a BMW, this is a must. It is just highway robbery to charge $25 for 2 bolts, though. BMW engineers have also probably thought the average individual who can afford a BMW makes money while he sleeps and will have a lot of spare time. Because of this, the lengthiest bolt has been positioned in the back of the starter with only 2 inches between the firewall and the bolt. Please accept my sincere thanks.

Replace the starter with a new one and do not reuse old bolts. Do not install anything other than To be torqued evenly, torque each bolt to 10 ft-lbs, then turn the short bolt 90 degrees to torque it evenly, and likewise for the long bolt 180 degrees to torque it evenly. It is a good idea to watch some installation videos before you begin. The cost of a dealer will be significantly higher than what it will be if you do it yourself.

A 12 point socket 11mm in diameter was used to remove the fixture. I bought a 11 mm UNIVERSAL WRENCH from Menards to torque it The torx tools I use are not available to me. As well as the swivel head 3/8" ratchet, you will need an impact wrench. A 2009 BMW 528i was the subject of this posting. Despite never having worked on a BMW before, I had no problems with it.

It is important to replace the starter bolts if you want to replace it. That's all there is to it! A single copy of the original is allowed. When you remove the old, they are not as strong as they used to be.

Sk I had to use a different socket to install these than what I used to remove the original bolts. My 335i e90, however, was able to use it.
