In the end, I returned the WK490 as it is not necessary. It is in both my 2005 Ford Excursion and 2006 Ford F350 6 and is a WIX 24490. There is no diesel in the 0 liter. Similarly to stock, the mass air flow sensor mounts directly to the housing, while the filter air sensor is attached to a grommet behind the housing.
The entire assembly, including the air filter, is included. Since I wasn't sure if it had an air filter, I took a chance and it came with it. The factory intake was warped and not sealing effectively. I installed this intake and it works great. I found dirt in the intake system. There is no better way to seal the container and the filter can be changed easily.
You're talking about the round hole closest to the firewall of the engine, which holds the air flow meter that shows you if air is losing flow through This particular filter housing was connected in about the same place, but raised a little higher.
The answer is yes, but depending on the year, you may need to purchase an additional

It is an OEM replacement for the filter housing that is the same as or better than what was originally installed in the 03-2007 Chevrolet Cruze The Ford Superduty 6 from 2007 is a commercial grade truck. The number of trucks is zero. With good clamps and a tight seal, it is set up well. There are no problems replacing the filter than there would have been with the OEM. There is plenty of room for the filter to hold and it filters the air wonderfully. The cost of its replacement filters is a little less an OEM filter than that of Motorcraft. As opposed to the conventional filtration method, it actually filters air They're often referred to as "cold air intakes," which simply suck up hot air from the engine compartment and do not filter anything smaller than a gnat. There is no reason why people insist on using garbage Oil soaked porous filters on turbo engines since they will dry out after the first week and will become ineffective. It has to be asked, why would the manufacturers not use CAI filters in the first place, if they were so great? I'm done ranting on that subject now. It is with this filter that there is a major caveat. Here's why BAD is bad for you An air intake hole is located on the backside of the housing, just before air is allowed to go Those are the right words, hole a little more than a foot in diameter The backside of the turbo has a 1/16" diameter hole, which will not filter any air whatsoever and could result in the turbo sucking something as large as a goofball straight into it. It's a little scary, isn't it? As far as I know, I have never had to replace the OEM filter housing. The grommets and filter minder that are supposed to go in the hole on the top back of the housing are not available to me. In front of my truck was one of those garbage cans that the previous owner had installed As this filter had N filter setups, it did not have the original OEM filterterminder or grommet to transfer. It is deemed that everyone just swaps out their OEM filter box for this one, not switching from an aftermarket, but I did switch from an aftermarket. Unfortunately, my truck was stolen and I was lucky to have it recovered (with a blown motor of course), but thieves decided they wanted my K&N My truck was ready when the setup crew arrived, and I did not have to worry about installing it myself. Thus, I wanted to replace it with this. I discovered that my truck had a big hole in it that didn't filter anything after I received it back from the diesel shop! I think it should ship with a plug to fill that hole or at least mention in the description that the buyer needs to order additional parts to make it effective. Here are the OEM part numbers for your filter minder and grommet The Air Filter Minder part number for this unit Five three zeros A 9N622-based system The letter A or the number Be sure it comes with the grommet if you order one! A separate order must be placed if you do not. Interestingly, the best price on this will be found at a Ford Dealer, but you will need to place an order because they don't usually have them in stock. As a result of my mistake, I am now waiting on a stupid grommet for days. The part number of the grommet that is required to mount the Filterminder I am 9697---- There is no XC3Z9697AA or AA in the code. I found it to be cheaper at the local Ford dealer rather than anywhere else At the time this is being written, the cost is $50 + tax. If possible, call your Ford dealer and ask about availability and price because they'll likely need to order one for you. Hope you have a great day!.
My '05 6 had a stock filter housing and I chose to replace it. During the cold temperatures, the PowerStroke turbo was warping and I was concerned about unfiltered air leaking into the turbo housing. My replacement went in relatively smoothly, and I am grateful for the better access in the future. It has been in for a few tanks now, and it is really impressing me how much better the GPM is. got 15 every time, regardless of what I was doing when I was driving. have run the numbers for tanks 2 and 3 since the replacement, and I have come I'll wait to see how the truck reacts when I have the filter in a few more tanks, but so far the filter seems to be working well. In the event that it holds up, I will up the rating to 6 stars!.
In addition, I was able to install fairly quickly, not as difficult as removing just the old filter. Other reports claim that you don't need the adapter WK490, but it seems I need it on my 2005 F-150 truck. The number 350 is.
If you want to switch from your stock intake system, don't hesitate to get this one. These are far better than the washable filters found in most of the "cold air intakes". What a great setup! I can't speak highly enough of it! It fits perfectly, however, you need to get an adapter for your charge air sensor if your truck does not have a mass air.
As a result, dirt and dust were getting into the turbo due to a damaged factory intake. In my call to Ford, I was quoted 42 some dollars for the factory part. In my opinion, this cable is very heavy duty and connects perfectly to the cable hookup. I am very satisfied with the product. Changing the filter and mounting the box is a lot easier. The sill is also well made. This was put on a 2007 Ford F250 Powerstroke Superduty Turbo Diesel. Exactly what I was looking for in a.
So far, it seems to be going well. It is much easier to change the.
Please accept my sincere thanks.
I have used several of these so far, and they have all worked well. I appreciate your kind words and I appreciate your generosity.
