I found the air filter to be near custom-matched to my car and engine bay color because it came with a crimson-colored air filter. What a coincidence! This was installed on the restoration of a 1965 Mustang convertible. only concern is, my intake manifold is higher than stock, and I am not yet sure if it will fit under the hood with two inches of filter thickness. I may have to locate a lower profile filter for the hood (I've not replaced it yet). This item was bought after I returned a product from another seller on Ebay that was "similar". There was a poor finish on the previous vendor's product, and the filter did not fit within the cover's shape. You should be careful not to buy the same "finned aluminum oval carb filter" twice!.
I found this to be very reasonable. I am extremely pleased with the result of all the components. You can even polish the underside of the lower filter housing with some elbow grease it is not a mirror finish, but it is good enough to add our own mirror finish. This air clear is superior in quality and price to stamped steel chromed clears. All you need are the matching short or tall valve covers along with the vent horn and it's ready to show off. The engine was purchased for my boat, a "stroker 383 sbc". A variety of replacement filters are available from Assault, EBay, and other sources. Several other parts and components have been purchased from this seller, and so far I have been satisfied with them. My favorite part of their prices is the free shipping.
You'll find everything you need here! The kit comes with a filter, aluminum top, aluminum bottom, and a long bolt for mounting the carburetor. Very impressed with the overall experience. It was a replacement for my 1969 Mustang 302 so I bought it. A 2 bbl and a 4 bbl carburetor will fit this carburetor. Stainless steel construction backed up by solid aluminium. The shine is good right out of the box, but Mother Mag makes a perfect casting.
To see the real thing, though, it would be an outstanding The quality of the product is excellent, the weight is heavier than expected. As seen in the picture, the filter looks like it has a white paper base but I actually received a red reusable base already pre-oiled. Plus, it looks fantastic on the car with the nice polished aluminum finish!.
There's a lot of weight on this! Considering the quality of the product and the extra weight, I am fine with the weight. A taller paper filter is available, it's a 15" x 4" oval, which comes with a standard 15" x 2" I have posted plenty of videos up on my YouTube channel ( Rocky X TV ) so you can have a look at it.
I'm not sure how well it flows, but it looks super The same company made my valve covers, so I bought them to match.
It is fantastic that the valve covers and pcv I purchased fit perfectly.
