The shaft is too small for Holley linkage, so it won't fit

Linkage on Holley 80457 is too large to fit around it- The following three four-bbl carburetors are available. Despite the fact that it fits exactly 5 1/8 ID (opening) and is well machined, this is an elegant aluminum ring with a beautiful finish. However, I wish it would fit up to a 5 3/16 or 5 1/4 opening so the linkage could pass through. The letter A Mr. , you're just over half a foot tall. As of now, the gasket has cleared the linkage and is on, but it's not pretty! In addition to modifying carburetors, I plan to install a 1 inch spacer under the carb and that will also work, or perhaps even a high rise intake if I am ever so lucky to be finished with honeydo's and bored.

Performance is enhanced when more air is allowed into the carburetor. As a result, the air filter was raised 2" off the carburetor and looks beautiful with the I am very satisfied with this spacer in general.
