On boosted GM engines, a 3/8 npt IAT sensor is required.
👌. In my intercooler piping, I used it as an air intake temperature sensor. Everything went smoothly.
3 LS Mat sensor drilled with a step drill bit from Lowes, sanded the hole a little, and slid right into the air filter tube last photo shows the 3/8 air filter sensor I used.
Threads that are accurate and well-machined. Machined to perfection. The threads are precise, and I was able to easily weld this to a cafe racer tank. However, make sure you're welding with the proper technique. You're going to have problems if you try this on a steel tank with a low-cost flux welder.
It's far too thick to be used as an intake temperature sensor. It was perfect after being cut in half.
