I tried it in my VW build from 1971 and it worked. A correction was made to the alternator feedback and it works perfectly now.
In spite of the fact that the company suggests a can handle up to 10 amperes, I am skeptical

I was very pleased with the results. It separated my high beam and low beam when I upgraded to aftermarket headlight lenses in my F350. Whenever I turn on the high beam, the truck stops sending power to the low beam wire. By wiring this diode from the high beam to the low beam, I can have the low beams continue to function even if the high beams are turned A great product with good connections, with the two lines you want hot, and the line you want to make hot with the other two.
It will cost you less than a dollar to order a pack of diodes and crimp the ends yourself.
A 1978 Jeep CJ5 had to have one of these. A replacement ACDELCO alternator caused feedback through the ignition after years of running with the same ACDELCO (GM type) alternator with no issues. Based on An online search suggested using a diode to solve the issue and sure enough the trouble In the event that your starter runs even when the key is off and all accessories are shut off, your battery will drain. What you need to do is this.
This option is much more expensive than simply buying a diode, but the fact that it comes pre-assembled makes it worth it For applications that require spade terminals, the wired and heat-shrink-sealed version is well worth the extra expense. I was using it to connect to an existing setup that already had spade connectors so it worked perfectly for me. The only negative thing I can say about it is that I am not particularly fond of.
We installed a relay into Jeep, however it did not have a reverse circuit breaker. Since the relay coil was connected using spade connectors, we installed a diode (band to +) so that there would not be a reverse EMF induced.
That's great that it works as advertised. If you could include an arrow showing the direction of electrical flow, that would be great. The mystery of continuity is however solved by a continuity tester.
This diode was a little bit larger than I needed, but it was used to tap into my truck's trailer reverse light harness that is under the hood and is I love this diode, and I highly recommend it!.
It is a nice design. I used it to turn on my fog bar without my fog bar feeding my high beams at the same time. Considering that it is already in shrink tubing, as well as male and female connections, that's a definite plus Connectors on both ends that are female quick disconnects.
