The purpose of the coolant thermostat housing is to prevent coolant from flowing to the radiator until the engine has reached operating temperature. The thermostat closes when the engine is cold and opens when it reaches operating temperature. The thermostat helps to reduce engine wear, deposits, and emissions by allowing the engine to warm up quickly.

The thermostats and gaskets, as well as two o-rings, are included in this kit. The large one goes on the engine's exhaust pipe, while the small one goes on the temperature sensor. In the event that the car thermostat housing needs to be replaced, integrated designs make the job much easier (a pair of nitrile gloves is included as a bonus).

Original hoses for the 2008 Sebring do not function. I bought a new 2 foot hose, cut it in half, and put it to use.

The o ring isn't big enough

If you're ordering this for a 2011 Chrysler 200, keep in mind that the sensor's O ring is too small; you'll have to go to an auto store to get the correct one. Aside from that, this part appears to be in perfect working order.

Fast shipping on a good part

For the money you spend, it's a good part. The only issue I had was that the gaskets were too large, so I had to use the old ones instead. Aside from that, it's a fantastic part that I installed in my 2012 Chrysler 200 2. 4L. We'll see how it holds up now that I've put it on.
