Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.
No, I put it on my Chrysler Town and Country from 2012! It didn't sound like it was loose at all! (Perhaps the thermostat is just a tad loose in its mounting housing! ) Mine was a perfect fit and continues to perform well!

In our Town and Country Minivan, the check engine light came on. I bought a Bluetooth module that plugs into the OBD2 port, but I still had a P0128 code, which meant my car was running at a low operating temperature (thermostat was stuck open). br>br>It was fairly simple to replace this. There are some excellent YouTube videos to be found. When removing the old thermostat, make sure the gasket is removed as well. It's usually glued to the sidewalk and easy to miss. br>br>GM has left me a little disappointed. I've owned Fords for the past 20 years and a Toyota now and then, but I've never had to replace a thermostat. I was surprised that after only 6 years and less than 60k miles, this had failed.

With code reading engine under temperature issues, I was able to get rid of my check engine light.
The fit is perfect, and the functionality is excellent. My vehicle quickly reaches and maintains its optimal operating temperature. I did purchase a flexible hose clamp tool (ABN Universal Flexible Hose Clamp Pliers Tool Set) for the job, but it was fairly simple to install. It's easier to reach the bolts that secure the thermostat if you remove the radiator hose first. When installing the new thermostat, just be careful not to overtighten them.
The thermostat isn't functioning properly. When driving down the freeway in Michigan in the winter, the temperature varies by 40 degrees, takes a long time to warm up, then drops to 160 degrees, then back to 190, then back to 180. Fortunately, it was not a bad deal to replace it, but I now have to buy more antifreeze, which is why I am upset. The anti-drug campaign's expenses The term "freeze" is used interchangeably with the term "thermostat. " If the new replacement I'm getting doesn't work, I'll have to buy the OEM, which is 12 degrees hotter.
In about 30 minutes, I was able to remove the old thermostat and replace it with the new one. When you remove the old thermostat, a lot of coolant will leak, so make sure you have an oil pan nearby to catch it. To clear the car computer and error codes, I disconnected the battery. Since then, the check engine light has never come back on, and I've been driving fine.
I was relieved to discover that a Dorman part was available, and at a reasonable price. The coolant temperature was below the safe level, according to the scanner. Because the coolant level was satisfactory, I decided to replace the thermostat. It's great that the housing and seal were included. Installing it is simple enough. br>After completion, I had to reset the code because the engine continued to misfire, which had been going on for a few weeks. Everything is still going swimmingly.
