It saved me a boat-load of money if I took my time and paid attention. a large sum of money Also, make sure the coolant pipe that connects the thermostat to the throttle body is ordered. You'll almost certainly break the old one because the plastic is extremely brittle due to the heat. The last thing you want is to get halfway through a project and be unable to complete it. For the GM 1, this is an OE replacement thermostat housing. 8 Lt. I recommend purchasing an ACDelco 25192905 throttle body heater hose (it will break when removed from the thermostat housing) and a GM 55556547 oil cooler pipe gasket (the housing does not come with this seal).

Perfect fit, and the issue with the GM thermostat has been resolved. code: P0597, the engine light was turned off. After all their shop towels, ridiculous labor and parts charges, not going to a dealer will save you around $500. It took me 20 minutes to install everything except the cleanup. The Amazon is incredible.

I tried a cheaper one made entirely of aluminum, but it leaked all over the place. For this one, I came back and spent moore. It was money well spent. There aren't any problems, but don't cut corners.
