So far, everything is running smoothly. When it's supposed to start, I can hear it. It's a little difficult to get to it so that you can install it. It's behind the wheel/wheelwell behind the alternator on the driver's side, and you can't reach it from the top. Anyway, I dabbed a dab of standard axle grease on the thermostat's oring seal to keep it in place because it kept falling off, especially since it was in a difficult-to-reach location. That little trick appeared to work because there are no leaks now that it's installed. Other aftermarkets are still more expensive, so this is a great deal. I hope the price does not have an impact on the long-term viability of the project. Except for the cheaper, thinner oring seal, it appears to be of good quality. Lol . So I guess we'll see how long the thermostat and the oring last. However, things have been going well so far.
The fit is ideal, and the price is reasonable. This thermostat housing is difficult to replace, but that is due to the placement of the thermostat by GM engineers. Because it is located directly behind the alternator, which must be removed in order to replace it.
Awesome. For the truck, it produces a lot of heat. I'm very pleased. Because it is located behind the driver's side wheel on the motor, it is difficult to install.
It fits well, the temperature has risen slightly (10 to 15 degrees), but the check engine light is no longer illuminated.
I believe the thermastat is working properly, but the truck still runs hot on hot days or when the air conditioner is turned on. I've already replaced the radiator and thermastat, and the water pump fan appears to be in good working order. I'm not sure what the issue is, so I'll give it a 4 rating.
similar to a factory.
Automobile maintenance.
The thermostat was replaced to fix a NO AC warning message, and there hasn't been any issues since.
