No, I don't believe it was a free upgrade. On the amount of air it moves, it doesn't get any better or worse. Mine was making a lot of noise because a bearing had failed.

Is the fan included in the package as well? Although the features and details make it appear that it does, the notes state that it is only for motors. ?

Fits a 1993 Ford F150 and is very quiet

So the original blower's bearing had worn out, causing a horrible vibration that sounded like a critical engine part was about to fail. It also didn't have a lot of airflow. The original part had a pigtail electrical connection, which this replacement part lacked, but it still worked fine with the truck wiring harness, and the kit included a new gasket. br>There is more airflow and it is quieter than before. It was long past due for replacement.

It was of excellent quality and well worth the money, and it fit perfectly on my 1993 Ford F150

It works perfectly and even has a built-in fan. The original pigtail has been integrated into this new unit, making it cleaner, and it also includes a foam gasket.

On a 1995 Bronco, this Blower Assy is a perfect replacement for the OEM part

This Blower Assembly was a perfect replacement for the original unit in my 1995 Ford Bronco. It's a quick (less than 1/2 hour) replacement from start to finish because it comes with the fan attached. The electrical connector and the cooling air tube hole were replaced with new gaskets, and the electrical connector and cooling air tube hole are identical to the OEM unit.

This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I had just invested a grand in my Ford 90 250 AC and was not seeing the results I had hoped for. I'm the one who put it in - Quite simple – It also blows a lot better than the standard unit. It was well worth the money. This winter, I'm sure I'll have a lot more defrost. It's perfect.
