So far, this small DC motor has done a good job. It also comes with new screws, which I wasn't expecting. The fan nut has a torque specification; if you tighten it too much, you risk putting too much stress on the motor's output shaft, causing it to lock up. It's a little too loose and sloppy. br>On my Saturn S series, I used this motor. I'll update my review if it fails anytime soon, but for now it's a great low-cost fix. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> My automobile is always spotless. It hasn't even been exposed to salt or similar substances. This motor is rusted to the point of being useless. The paint began to flake off in large chunks. This demonstrates a lack of quality assurance. I am not pleased.
My radiator fan quit working, to cut a long story short. I own a 1998 SL2 convertible with air conditioning. br>br>Because this is an old car on which I don't want to spend any money, I turned to YouTube for help. Richpin06a, a YouTube user, has a lot of videos on how to fix this particular model of car. You can find Radiator Fan SL2 on YouTube by searching for it. He walks up to me right away. Also, watch his Radiator Fan Troubleshooting Videos to ensure it's a faulty fan rather than a wiring issue. br>br>I'd like to add something to what richpin has shown. Remove all wires, including the one to the AC compressor on the passenger side, to make room for the radiator fan housing, which is held in place by four plastic fittings and one screw. The trick is that the upper plastic fitting on the passenger's side appears to be a tongue in groove fitting, but as the driver's side of the shroud is raised, it pulls up vertically. It's not necessary to fully remove it. When you reinstall the radiator housing, it pops back in. br>br>A separate small plastic bag contains the motor's drive plate and necessary screws. Make sure you don't miss them. The items arrived quickly and performed exactly as expected, with the exception that I had to use my old screws to secure the fan to the radiator housing. br>br>By the way, Four Seasons is the name of the Texas store that sells this item, not the motor. Overall, a positive experience. br>br>.
I was blown away by this product; I used it to replace a burned-out OEM cooling fan motor and it worked flawlessly. In fact, there were a few features on this one that, in my opinion, made it BETTER than the OEM (e. g. , , the electric plug's housing is more easily accessible). It comes with all of the necessary hardware. FIVE OUT OF FIVE OUT OF FIVE OUT OF FIVE OUT.
After a month, I examined the motor, which appeared to be identical to the one I had replaced. THESE ARE NOT NEW MOTORS; THEY ARE REPAINTED USED MOTORS!.
I'm not sure why it's rusted despite the fact that it's brand new. It's just a fan motor, but if you're selling a product, it better be brand new if you claim it's brand new.
EXTREMELY WELL CRAFTED. OEM MUST MEET OR EXCEED. INSTALLATION IS SIMPLE AND EASY. AN EXCELLENT REPLACEMENT PART! IN MY OPINION, IT FAR EXCEEDS OEM. INSTALLATION IS SIMPLE AND EASY. VERY USEFUL INSTRUCTION INFORMATION. EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR.
It has held up exceptionally well. br>.
