It was a perfect match
5/5

On my 99 GMC Sierra 5, this part fit perfectly. 3l. I bought two of them to replace the hoses at the heater core that had broken off. On both sides, it's the same piece. I'm aware that the originals were a different shade of blue, but that's beside the point. Both sides can be swapped out.

These are beneficial, but they should be avoided at all costs

I despise the fact that GM went ahead and did this; plastic has no place on a cooling system. However, because my truck is not ten years old, I had to replace it as well. br>br>The old ones were brittle, so it was time to replace them; you can use this one to replace both the white and black QDs, but one of the hoses will be a little large; just use a proper screw type hose clamp and you should be fine; it worked for me. If you aren't replacing the hose, make sure you cut the plastic crimp off the black QD; otherwise, it won't be long enough to connect to the new QD while still allowing for engine movement. Make sure they're all the way on; they may feel like they're latching but aren't. Pull hard but not too hard on the heater core during the pull test. To make installation easier, I lubricated the seals with silicone grease. br>br>Here's what I don't like about these (and the previous versions): They are 100% plastic, even the lock tabs, and they are doomed to fail due to all the heat and chemical erosion from the coolant. Because the Dorman replacements aren't quite as durable as the OEM parts, I'd advise biting the bullet and going to the dealer if you plan to keep the QD setup permanently. I'll eventually get rid of these because the lock flange on the heater core makes a good nipple end for slipping a hose over it. It'll take some effort, and I'd recommend softening the end of the hose first so you don't put too much pressure on the heater core. When I replace all of my hoses next year, I'll do it this way. I replaced these QDs because they were too troublesome to leave alone any longer, and they can be replaced with almost no loss of coolant.

Avalanche of 2006 it was a success These are, without a doubt, inconvenient
5/5

This was a special request of mine. but it didn't seem to work. br> In the end, I had to rely on a store-bought remedy. I already had a connecting tool. The disconnect tool has an angled handle and a two-piece round part. The reason I was able to get this to work was because - One side of the tool could be pushed into the "quick disconnect" at the back. I worked on the other side after getting one side in good shape, and pushing it in was simple. I even took the back off and tried both sides at the same time with no luck, so I recommend using the angled disconnect tool made of plastic. Now it's time for the Dorman 800-. I used the same part for both heater hoses, part number 409, and it worked perfectly. Yes, I switched out the tan connector for a black one. After removing the old quick disconnects, I cleaned the aluminum fitting on the heater core and lightly greased the fitting and the Doorman seals with plumbers valve grease. As if it were butter, it slid back on again - and there are no leaks! Two of these, as well as two small hose clamps, will be required. This is the hose I used on the side that didn't have the Y fitting.

It worked perfectly

Due to a faulty connector that was leaking, I had to replace this. I set it to easy and it now works perfectly. br>br>On my first order, I received a damaged one, but Amazon sent me a replacement, which worked perfectly. Excellent part and service.

On a 2007 Suburban 5, NO GO
3/5

3 liters | Instead, get a hose clamp! This part will not fit a Suburban 5 from 2007. 3L. The female OEM fitting is not compatible with the plastic clips. It isn't worth returning for the price, so it will be thrown away. In my case, the best solution was to simply push the hose over the male OEM plastic quick clips and hose clamp it after removing the old quick connect end. Simply hose clamp it instead of using these quick connect hose connectors.

Five out of five stars
5/5

It did a fantastic job of replacing the off-brand product. On my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500hd, there is a white (yellowed) connector.

My 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS 4x4 was able to accommodate it
5/5

This was a perfect fit for my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS 4x4's heat hose connectors. The Lisle 39400 Angled Disconnect Tool Set (use the plastic green sleeve) and the heater hose quick disconnect puller (long metal bar with 5/8" u-bolt) are also required. To remove the old heater hose connector, use your type end to pull it off. It had been glued in place. The old connector will need to be pulled hard/jerked hard until it pops off. The new heater hose connector then easily snaps back into place.

Fits 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LS with 6 cylinder engine
5/5

Perfectly on both Quick Connect Heater Hose Tubes with a 0 Gas Engine. It states that it is not compatible with my 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LS, 6. Regardless of other comments on here, I bought two of these and they both fit the inner/outer heater hose quick connect line that comes out the fire wall. It may appear that it is impossible to continue, but this is due to the O- The seal on the ring is brand new. After struggling to put it on dry, a light, light application of grease around the tube coming out the fire wall made it slide right on. There were no leaks when I used this exact fitting on both of my tubes. This is a great deal because you get two AC Delco quick connects for the price of one.
