You might have a blown resistor in the AC fan speed control for your car if the maximum setting is the only one that works. Since they let me know that if I don't replace both the blower motor and resistor, the resistor will likely blow out soon due to likely defective motor, the dealership charged me an outrageous $900 for parts and labor. They even suggested that I search the internet for forums concerning this issue in order to substantiate their claim. However, they were not prepared for the fact that a 5-storey complex would have a A quick search on the internet led me to a super site My part was an easy DIY repair video and this part. Since it was only $10, I figured I could do the repair myself--if the resistor blew again in 6 months, I could replace the motor myself (the motor part is $50 more). This is because the car is designed in such a way that it can be easily replaced without the need for any tools upon its own. This repair took less than five minutes, and I was able to save $900 as well as a working AC fan! . . . Br>*Note After the resistor has burned for a few minutes, it emits a burning odor. However, just keep the windows open while the fan runs and let it air out for an hour or two, and the smell will dissipate. There's nothing wrong and the fire is not actually burning.

The blower motor on my 2006 VW Jetta TDI would only work on 4 (high). With this 5 minute swap, she was return to her original state in no time. Thanks a lot!.

I bought it to resolve the issue I was having with my car's heating and cooling. A high setting is required in order for it to blow. Having changed this, it now works as good as new The blower speed works on low, medium, and high and does not cause any problems*2010.

There was a blown fuse in my car. Because I didn't figure it out until after I installed the blower motor resistor, I'm not really able to evaluate the product. It seems to work, though, so I guess it works?.
