Although I had a 2003 truck, I noticed the interior of my son's 2006 truck was identical. It is possible to check out the model number on Dormans' website. As I was using the new one, it was actually the fan resistor and the air blend actuator that were causing the issue.

A quick and easy installation of this item in my Chevy 2500HD was facilitated by the rapid delivery time. Despite this, the slide for adjusting the temperature ripped apart after just 5 weeks of use. After the return window expired, Amazon referred me to Dorman for warranty, but Dorman does not offer direct warranty to consumers- I am 2 days past the return window. The transaction must be handled by a third party (fulfillment can be handled by them). Also, I purchased an extended warranty from Allstate for this product, but they will only cover it after the 1 year manufacturer's warranty has expired. As a result, I have contacted Amazon, Dorman, Allstate, and the third party marketing company that handles Amazon warranty items. In the meantime, I have a heater in my truck that is stuck between hot and cold for at least four more days during a week with low temperatures. The replacement arrived after 2 weeks, but it took someone at Amazon 2 weeks to send it. It is best to use the chat function on Amazon, although it takes some time to get to a real person who can assist you. Even though Amazon made it difficult, the company stood behind their product. In my opinion, Dorman is not up to par Their product was of low quality and they did not offer any support.
It is inoperable, but it does what it was meant to do. It was necessary for me to remove my original HVAC controller to install this visibly damaged one I cannot claim that it doesn't function as it should but when I picked it up from the box, the button that covers the rear defrost fell off and then I found out the screws holding the faceplate were missing. In addition to the faces, the plates had also been removed The plate has been glued back on in order to prevent removal.
I tried to fix my control in my 2006 Silverado and broke the knob trying to remove it just like many others have. It is a remanufactured product produced by Dorman. Similar looking, works well (which was what I tried to fix when I broke mine) and has white backlight. The cost is higher than the previous unit but it is a Dorman model and is covered by their.
After I changed the bulbs in the one I had all the bulbs for, the fan switch froze up and wouldn't work anymore, so it needed to be replaced.
Installing the software takes five minutes. There is only one thing wrong with the control panel the lighting is a light green color. While the original was more white, it works wonderful now, so that I can see the controls at night!.
It is easy to get this part and it arrives quickly. I was able to install the part easily and it worked.
The person has just passed away. There is still one more to buy, so I will have to pay $300 overall. It is now 1800 p. m.
The remanufactured model I have looked like new to me. I didn't have the option to return the old one as Amazon did not charge core fees. I really like it.
