You will receive a Schrader valve with it. It has a schrader valve inside it so you want to make sure it's tight, as you do with the factory one. You still need a socket to install it just like the factory one, but the schrader valve is located inside.
In place of the original "Ball and Socket" valve, this one is sealed. Those that fail and leak- A Replaceable Schrader valve will replace the old one in the same size Port. You should be able to change the valve housing without having to drain and refill your A/C system. With this new housing in place, the Schrader valve core can be swapped out in the future, eliminating the need to drain To swap this Port (Valve) Assembly or replace the Schrader valve cores you need specialized tools and all the tools and equipment necessary to empty and refill the air conditioning The best way to fix this isn't through a quick DIY effort.

A real Schrader valve is installed on this part, a step that is essential over a typical An actual, exact replacement is available here, but it is simply more of what is already available. This design fails due to its rubberized ball design. There was an actual industry standard Schrader valve used on this port. A new schrader was installed which I believe is a better quality unit than the one that is installed.
You don't have to worry about leaks anymore! There was a leak at the high side service port and condenser. In my opinion, this valve took care of the high side "rubber ball" that GM uses, and it has been working great since then. These two items, along with the octagon socket by Mastercool, are highly recommended. I have updated the document A calendar year 2020 is I've had this valve for over two years now and the high side port is still working just fine. The high side port is the way to go for replacing the A/C system. You should definitely check it out!.
In the event that the Dorman schrader valve leaks, it can be changed with special tools without removing the R- with the entire system. This is 134A. GM's original high pressure connecting valve has a fixed valve and does not have a replaceable Schrader valve. It has frequent failures, resulting in a complete system evac and the replacement of the entire This replacement connector from Dorman makes a great deal more sense, works with no problems, saves freon, can be re-used repeatedly, and is only marginally more expensive than the OEM version from GM. I can't make sense of using the replacement for GM.
purchased this replacement valve with the specific purpose of replacing the rubber stopper on the high-pressure line This valve is an OE replacement valve from a 2001 Chevy Suburban and it uses a conventional "Schrader" It was through that that I was able to purchase the Mastercool tool which lets you replace either the high or low side valve cores (or BOTH) whenever necessary, without needing to evacuate the the valve is the same type and size as the one used in the low-side valve, so the removal tool is fully compatible. An upgrade is in the works. The cost is well worth the investment. It will be very easy to replace the AC valve cores on this vehicle in the future.
As a result of GM's stupid decision to use a ball prone to failing, On the high side of the port, there is a leaky valve. In the end, I was so frustrated that I researched if there was a better solution. My issue was definitely fixed by this port, and it will likely seal for a reasonable period of time even with periodic pressure checks if it's like the previous schrader valves that I've used. Please ensure that the O-layer is coated Using PAG oil on your ring is a good idea! Ensure that you do not overtorque! You just need to make sure it is snug enough to prevent it from unscrewing We will let the O's rip It is not the torque that seals, but the ring.
A Schrader valve is necessary to replace the check valve located on the high side of the vehicle's service port. My vehicle is A series of low and high service leaks caused me to lose 3L of refrigerant with 220,000 miles under my belt. There is a shrader valve on the low side, but for some reason the high side port has a check valve that would leak right away when a connector was attached. In this case, the replacement part was identical.
So I was not going to do that again this year, so I purchased this unit, installed it, and recharged it. It worked like a charm! It was time for me to take care of this sooner. As well as the special socket, I bought a pair of sunglasses. There was some debate as to whether that was.
There is no comparison between this valve and the one standard with GM trucks. I ordered both the ACDELCO and the Dorman because neither was too expensive. Another reviewer suggested that I also order the socket matching these valves, and I totally agree with him. A set of the right tools for the job will make the removal/installation process a lot easier.
