If I arrive at a job with a problem, I double-check to see what the issue is.
Not sure. I used it on a 96 Silverado ext cab and it was a pain to get to, but it worked fine and is still blowing cold with no leaks. If you have two connections under the hoodie, it should work fine.

It appears to be a good product that closely resembles the original, with the exception of the debris screen and perimeter seal that were attached to the original. After installing new foam seals and the original wire screens, it fit perfectly into the case. br>br>I just wish they'd been more careful with the packaging. They placed a cardboard form on top of the fins, which was pushed down into the fins, causing significant damage with little evidence of the container. Because of the risk of it leaking and reducing air flow, I had to have it replaced. If you don't have to, this isn't a job you'll want to do twice. Even if the shipping box appears to be in good condition, make sure you inspect the product for damage right away.
The lower fittings threads are shorter than the OEM part, causing immediate leakage, which was exacerbated by the tubing fitting being free spinning rather than welded to the tubing as it should be. I finally got it to work with a washer inside the nut after a lot of fiddling. If you buy it, make sure you test fit the fittings before putting it together. Due to the high level of difficulty in installing this part, I would recommend purchasing a higher-quality unit.
Removing the dash and dropping the steering wheel to the floor, as well as the bench seat, was the most enjoyable part. Easter weekend was spent doing it. Plan ahead of time in case of minor setbacks, and bring a friend unless you want to crack the rest of your already cracked dash. Because there is no cabin air filter, you're replacing this evaporator because it's clogged. Throughout the system, 2 lbs R 134 A and 8 oz PAG150 oil were applied.
In a 1995 Chevy, it was a perfect fit. br>Quick turnaround.
I installed this in a 98 GMC K1500 if anyone needs to know, and it fits perfectly where the old one did.
It's incredible how much air is now flowing through. I'm sure it was overdue after 23 years.
Exact fit for my 98 GMC K1500, and it works well.
