I have a 2002 Toyota 4Runner, and it works just fine. In addition, you do not have to take out the whole dash to complete this task. Simply take off the glove box in the passenger seat, remove the air conditioning vent duct in the passenger seat, and the evaporator will be right there by itself between the blower and the rest of the HVAC system. Grasp the 10 millimeter bolt holding the evaporator box and remove the 2 a/c lines beneath the hood. It will come out in one piece. As for the rest, it took me 30 minutes to complete all of this and I also replaced the expansion valve that bolts to the evaporator while it was This new evaporator works just like the original one and works really well when it is properly installed and assembled. I would highly recommend this replacement part for its superb quality and low price.
