I just installed a new discharge hose on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline. It was a simple There is no leak at the moment, and I hope the AC will hold its charge. The only issue is it does not come with a black bracket like pictured in the advertisement. This would've been 5 stars if it didn't have those problems. The fact that I had to switch isn't that big a deal to me since I use the same one I always had. Additionally, we have a problem with the OM Approximately ring size. The green O's are correct Despite a tight fit, the OEM rings don't feel quite as snug as the replacements. The biggest issue I have is that the black hose may not be the proper length, or the bend on the lower portion may be slightly off (I didn't do a side by side comparison with the OEM one because it was too late once I installed the new one). A result of this issue is that the hose bends, creating the looped U shape, causing it to be somewhat kinked, decreasing the diameter of the hose where it is crimped. There is now an increased likelihood of the crimped portion of the hose being damaged by this additional force. Considering most of the leakage occurs around the crimped area, I am concerned it will fail prematurely. Anyhow, it was too late for me to return the paper since the work has been completed, so I shall be monitoring it in the future. For a rating of 3 stars, there is a lack of confidence. The other major advantage is that it offers a strong alternative to OEM.
It took me several days to find out that this hose was the cause of a slow leak of my AC system (which needed to be recharged every month), so I searched deeply to determine if it was this hose (which I'm still not sure about). In my case, the crimp was the cause of the failure, so I had to replace this part. In order to access this, I could take the bumper off and use the Service Manual PDF I have. The oil from the AC system was used to lubricate the included oil pump Attach the rings to the ring. Unfortunately, when I removed the front bolt from the radiator, I broke off the head. I had to use some penetrating oil and heat to loosen the threads. Although installing it was fine, it worked for the rest of the season after I borrowed an AC vacuum from O'Reily's and followed ChrisFix's tutorial on how to vacuum and refill. To ensure that there are no more leaks, I'll have to work up until next summer. The results will be revealed in due course.
The 2006 Honda Ridgeline AC discharge line is directly compatible with this part. It appears this is a fairly common place for AC leaks to occur. The front bumper had to be removed to complete the installation, which took about half an hour. It's been 2 months now and the AC is still cold, so I would say the fix worked.
As the product did not fit my vehicle, I called Amazon for a refund. Thanks for helping me with a refund. Thanks for arriving on time and that was what was described.
I had no problems fitting my Honda Pilot 07 into this product.
In an 07 pilot, if your air conditioner doesn't hold a charge, this is a common repair.
There is one for air conditioning and one for heating.
