I bought this for my mother and it saved me a lot of money and time. BMW 540i, which belongs to my brother-in-law. Hers was broken, so the air conditioning was only working intermittently. - reads the dash The temperature is 40 degrees Fahrenheit. It only took me about 5 minutes to replace it. The temperature on the dash now reads 85 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about right. The clip did not snap in, so I didn't give it five stars. I taped the harness anyway to keep it from coming loose because the prongs made contact and were reasonably tight.
I put in a couple of days' worth of work. Because this item was only working intermittently, I took the car to the experts for assistance and had it replaced with a dealership installed BMW OEM part. BMW cars are notoriously picky when it comes to electronics, and OEM parts appear to work better.
The price is unbeatable, and the item is well-fitting. When I lost my sensor, the car gave me a - The temperature has dropped to 40°F, and the check engine light has illuminated. Everything went back to normal after I replaced the sensor. Now I'm not sure how long it'll last, but if it doesn't, I'll return and update this; However, everything has gone well thus far. $7 is a safe bet. Come on, man, it's 00!.
Yes, there are less expensive sensors on the market. This one, on the other hand, has absolutely no flaws. It does exactly what you would expect it to do. It fits like a glove. So, if your sensor needs to be replaced, this is a great option.
My 330ci was manufactured in 2001. My sensor had become damaged and was giving me an incorrect reading. I unplugged the old, damaged one and replaced it with this one, which appears to be functioning properly and providing accurate readings. If I have any concerns, I will make changes to my review.
I replaced my old OEM Ambient Air Temperature Sensor with this one, and it works as expected for the price; there's a two-degree difference between it and the iPhone weather app, but that's nothing in Texas. Over the OEM price, this is a huge savings.
Despite the fact that it is only a quarter of the price of the original, it looks and functions identically to the 40 dollar unit that failed after 11 years.
It is inexpensive and it functions flawlessly. Why pay ten times as much for something that works just as well?.
