A great deal of fun! The 1999 Nissan Frontier XE V6 4x4 with a 5 speed manual transmission works perfectly with this part
5/5

It was discovered after a couple of decades that the original tailgate support cables had cracked and corroded into failure, causing the tailgate to contact It is easy to install these You can find a short video that shows how to remove the old ones and install the new ones online. In the video, the guy is trying to pry out the inner piece of the strap connector with a screwdriver to remove the top part of the strap connector (the part that attaches to the side of the bed). My research revealed that this type of screwdriver was strong and thin, and that this task was tedious. My only contribution was to remove the bolt on the bed where it is connected. You won't have to apply much torque to it and it's easier to handle the job. If you have an older Fronty, I definitely recommend these. The new ones look like they are made much better than the originals and quite a bit cheaper than the originals from Nissan (if you can still.

A 1994 Nissan D21 Hardbody Pickup is compatible with this part
4/5

The washers were missing on mine, like Brad who gave it a 1 Star review. This is a Dorman kit that wasn't sealed, and it looks like the washers slid out and fell out. Although, it was of no consequence. For my truck, I just used an existing piece of hardware. A 1994 Nissan D21 Hardbody is my truck. My truck is not made for the Dorman 38541, but it is a great replacement for the scissor-lift system On an older truck, there is a style of folding metal bracket that rattles a lot. Having grabbed a box wrench, I took the old bolts out, and I replaced them it took me no time at all Installation of these was done with that hardware. I'm glad to report that the rattle.

The tailgate cables are a great replacement for the stock ones
5/5

Product does what it is advertised to do. I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier and it fits During the install, I had to have my wife hold the tailgate just a tiny bit up so I could drive the bolt in, but that was due to the old cables being constrained. The entire surface of both sides has been rusted through. The best buy of the year.

I was able to fit my old truck with It is imperative that you re-save Make sure the old hardware is still there and adjust them all the way down before tightening them all the way.

This one probably did not make it to quality control
3/5

The piece I bought goes on my 1998 This product came with all of its hardware moving freely around the box when I received it. In addition, two of the tailgate bolts were missing, and the cables were a different length. There's no way this one made it to quality control.

I really like this product
5/5

It is durable, good quality, and a good price. This product installs very easily. like it will last a long time. As the strap on this side was frayed, and the other side is still good, I used only one piece. Nevertheless, I intend to save one new one just in case it is needed in the future to replace whichever side wears out. Considering the price, this is an excellent product. It's very durable and looks good. The program would be a good recommendation for anyone who.
