In that small housing on the transfer case there is a plastic gear that may be partially damaged. The object may be removed from a convenient spot, but I am unsure.
No, it will work, it will fit, it will work well, and what a great idea! I've installed it on my Jeep as part of the restoration and it's a perfect match for my Jeep and easy to install
No idea of the length, but it worked perfectly for a 1969 CJ5 with a 3 speed transmission

you can get the same product from Jess or Summit for less money, but you have to spend a minimum amount of money and at the time, I had no needs for anything else. It fit perfectly with the new style gouges and the old Willis T-Face. An automatic transmission is a 90.
My 75 CJ5 is now equipped with a D20 transfer case. The Speedo is now working. Other posters have mentioned that the machining on the t-slot is not very good It is a bit tight. The threaded case side nut is not the best either.
The speedometer cable is the first cable. An old 53 CJ3 speedometer was made to function again thanks to this method.
My new automotive speedometer does not fit onto it it is also loose on the transmission end too. I had to add an extra rubber washer to tighten it up and keep water and debris from getting in.
I replaced my broken cable on my 66 CJ5 with this cable and it worked great.
It does not fit my 65 CJ5A, it will not screw onto the Although I was on my back, I have another case on the bench which means the threads here and there didn't cross. Considering it looks good, I have given it 3 stars, but I should have bought it from a CJ parts supplier.
As far as a 61 Jeep truck is concerned, everything is going well.
I appreciate the kind words, thank you.
