Questions & Answers
I do not know the measurement of the length. The 1977 Toyota Corolla 1 served well, but I used it for It was easy enough to attach from speedometer to transmission with about 4 inches of wiggle room
Despite the 2f motor and the 4 speed transmission, it is okay
I did find this to work on my 1988 Mitsu Starion manual
Whether or not it fits is a mystery. The Toyota Corolla 1982 I bought it for was the 1st.

It was also necessary to upgrade my cable after I updated my speedometer. gave this a shot thinking it would be a good deal for the price. I was able to mount it on my transfer case exactly because of its length. Initially I was concerned that the cheesy plastic clip that appeared to me when it arrived might have been broken, but it fits and stays on my speedometer gauge, and the gauge is only slightly off by 2 mph. It was recommended to me by two friends to lube the cable housing with white lithium grease from both ends before inserting the cable, and I would emphasize that this step is vital if you have bought.
This speedometer cable was specifically built for a 1977 Toyota FJ40, hence, it is of higher quality than a cable I had previously purchased from a company that specialized in Land Cruisers. I was able to run up this cable from the transfer case, behind the firewall, and into the instrument cluster at the back. I worried it might touch the exhaust or get caught on anything beneath the vehicle due to the slight amount of slack. However, it has just enough slack to allow the cluster to be tilted forward to detach the cable. For people who need a replacement or for restoration.
Perfect for any use. For the record, it isn't necessary to remove the cable from its sheath, but give it a good lube to extend its life. You could do it anyway, *br* - Newly updated.
It used to be a 2 piece set up, but I replaced it about 6 months ago with a one piece set with a cable I purchased from a Land Cruiser website in Texas because my speedometer was jumping. I had routed it in such a way that the excess length combined with the way I routed it caused a kink resulting in the cable snapping. As you can see from the picture, this cable is a bit shorter, so I hope it doesn't recreate the kink and break. In addition to perfectly fitting into the transfer case and the instrument cluster, the ends fit perfectly into the ends of the horn. I lubricated my cable myself with white lithium grease on the recommendation of several others since mine did not come with extra lube as advertised. Overall, the cable seems to be fine, although I noticed that it did not include the rubber gasket on the transfer case end that the cable I am replacing had. It is a reusing the gasket that I am unsure is an issue or not.
Although I was able to install the cable, I would have preferred it if I had known that the casing end of the cable did not require threaded connections for my 1967 Land Cruiser. succeeded in getting the push-in connector to work by filing off the larger diameter rim of the connector.
This is not as heavy as before - The original has a duty to the customer. Pieces manufactured by the manufacturer have collars at each end that reinforce the construction. The product works well, but Lube before installation is a must.
other vendors were selling the exact same part number but failed to deliver the right part. this is what I needed for my '87 Mitsubishi ESI-P A large amount of R is.
In the RX7 2nd gen manual, it is stated that this will work. For the cluster to fit, engage, and lock onto the input, I had to modify the back of the cluster. I have a speedo that works, but below *45 mph there is a lot of needle bounce. You will only be able to do well if you have to work with all of it (at least RX7), but you will have to make it work and it will only be decent.
My 78 FJ40 is now equipped with this kit. 3 weeks on the job. I took this picture near the speedometer. Would it be better lubricated if it had more? It's either my rig or the cable, but I don't know which it is. Here's another attempt.
