Questions & Answers

Do you think it will work with a C4?

A C4 for a 1969 F100 was what I applied for. Even though the cable was quite long, it did the job.

Can you tell me how long the cable is?

This kit fits perfectly in my short bed F100, and there was plenty of slack to route the slack outside the frame rail if desired. Although, it is stated on the manufacturer's website that it is 82" long.

The engine in the 1971 Ford f100 4 speed manual tranny 360 V8 engine fits. Would the mod work on the ?

My apologies, but I have no idea. The item fit fine on my 3 speed automatic, but it was a little too long.

Could you please tell me if this cable will work with an AOD?

In short, yes. It is attached to a 1956 Ford speedometer, but not connected to it.

This item fits with modifications, and it has a great value
4/5

The product was delivered on time and in good condition. In order for the transmission side of the cable to fit properly, there was a very small modification necessary. It was a bit bumpy around the neck that wouldn't fit into the trans until it was filed down. As a result, the hold was released I had to straighten out the bracket below the transmission to ensure the cable would hold. Once that was done, the fitting was perfect. I'm still not complaining, it's the cheapest cable I could find (by nearly half) and it's a great deal. Thanks to you, my speedometer works now!.

On my 1964 Ford F-350, I used this as the oil filter
5/5

It will cost 100 to replace it. On my 1964 Ford F-350, I used this as the oil filter. The stock cable must be replaced for 100. As I've swapped in a 460/C6, this is long enough to run along the frame rail and make sure the 3" exhaust, steering column, and brake booster are not blocked.

There is no easy way to replace this part
3/5

I took the cable out of the packaging and it cracked right away. There is no easy way to replace this part. As I would not want to do it again for a long time, I decided to get a better quality one.

The 1969 Ford F100 is being repaired
4/5

However, it is not even close to OEM quality, but hey, I pay for what I get. To make sure the cable was properly lubricated, I pulled it out and coated it with dry graphite lubricant. As you can see from the picture, it performs well.

I was impressed by the quality and the way it fit perfectly
5/5

There is no comparison in price between this and any other product. I was impressed by the quality and the way it fit perfectly. My habit is to squirt extra oil into the sleeve before the game.
