Served as a driver for a '05 Chevy truck

It was easy to install on my 2005 Chevy 1500 pickup truck. There are several differences between an OEM and a retailer. Drilling the mounting hole is required if OEM hardware is to be used. The topic has already been discussed by others. There is an impression that it is a cheaper-made handle than the Saving money is one of the reasons I bought it. We'll have to wait and see whether this was a good decision or not.

I don't want that junk! I made a very poor job of sticking to the It feels cheaply made and the latch cable has too much slack

I would recommend purchasing a genuine GM latch release. I had to fabricate it to make the factory bolt fit correctly, and the handle feels like it could snap at any moment.
