Can this be used as a carburetor for Ford autolites?

The likelihood of it working without modifications is low.

Is it possible to also use this for throttle cables?

What you use it for will depend on what you plan on doing with it. You might be able to get away with it if it were a tractor. In my opinion, it is not suitable for use in a road vehicle. This choke cable performs well as a choke cable.

What's the weight of the bracket on a Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor?

The choke bracket for the 1494 carburetor will not fit a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor.

Can this be used on an Edelbrock ?

It is possible to convert a 1406 to a manual choke if you decide to do so.

This product was very easy to install and the cost was very reasonable as well. Using it on a 1976 Ford F600 with a 391 V8 and Edelbrock carburetor was a great experience for me.

The program performs as expected. Overall, I would rate the service as 10/10. I've had no problems with the manual choke conversion on my edlebrock 1406.
