Although it differs from OEM, it is compatible with OEM brake boosters
5/5

Impala LT from the year 2008. This check valve kit was originally purchased to fix a suspected vacuum leak in my 2008 Impala LT's brake booster area. When I pressed the brake, I heard a hissing sound and noticed that braking power had decreased noticeably. Despite the fact that this item did not resolve my problem, it is worth considering before investing in other parts because it is so inexpensive. br>br>The plastic/rubber seal within the brake booster itself, which is not a part you can buy separately, was the source of my vacuum leak's solution. This item is slightly larger than the OEM check valve and a different color (slightly off white/grey). br>br>You must purchase an entire new brake booster or pull the part from a brake booster on a similar model year Impala from an auto salvage yard. br>br>This item is slightly bigger than the OEM check valve and a different color (slightly off white/grey). Packaging and side-by-side comparisons can be found in the images. A side-by-side comparison of an OEM check valve and an AC Delco check valve. br>br>As an added bonus, I've included photos of the original brake booster seal that failed and caused the brake booster to malfunction, as well as an intact one I pulled from a salvaged Impala. I hope this information is useful.

1997 GMC Jimmy, SLE 4, Slightly Too Thick and Short 3Lbr>The side of the Brake Check Valve that goes into the Brake Booster was about two pieces of paper too thick
3/5

br>Also, the grommet was two pieces of paper thicker than necessary in terms of length and depth. So I cleaned the Original Grommet and reinstalled it on the check valve. br>I scrubbed the brake booster area clean with a steel tooth brush, then forced the check valve and old grommet in. I could have used the new Grommet, but I didn't want to waste an hour sanding paint off the brake booster. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: It had been in my possession for about two months when it exploded into three pieces. Fortunately, I still had the old one on the floor in the car.

The GXP Grand Prix was held in 2008
5/5

Although it isn't the exact part for my vehicle, it does the job. It performs admirably. Following the swap, I ran diagnostics and noticed a decrease in idle RPM. I must have had a vacuum leak that I wasn't aware of. There's also a noticeable and positive difference in how the brakes feel. Overall, this is an excellent product.

Check valve kit for the brake booster
5/5

This is a critical component to have connected to your brake booster because it tightens braking and ensures that all brake lines are free of air. If you want your car to stop on a dime, you'll need this if it's 10 years old or older.

Simply put, I don't like taking chances
5/5

I was on the lookout for a strange vacuum leak in the brake booster. It turned out to be a booster return valve (which is fairly common in my vehicle). It didn't hurt to change it out as well. factory-made items of high quality.

It was a good fit, but it didn't solve my issue
4/5

So it's a genuine GM part in a labeled bag, so everything is fine. I just tried it on the spur of the moment, thinking it might be the source of my problem, but it wasn't! It's possible that my booster has a leak. Oh well. to the more expensive and larger components.

I discovered that the part listed was incorrect for my vehicle
3/5

I discovered the hard way that the brake booster check valve sent was white and for a 2004 Cadillac Deville with heavy duty brakes J55, not JL9, as I had. I'll have to place a second order. Because it isn't stated which is which on Amazon, be cautious about what you purchase. Be well.
