It works, but only for about two weeks. This parking brake actuator arrived on time, and I had a professional mechanic install it. It was effective for ten days before failing. I had it replaced, and the same mechanic noted that the part's quality was inferior to that of other OEM parts for my BMW x5, and that it would not last more than ten days. I had to return it for a refund at the end of the day.
It's a lot of noise and moves slowly. Most of the time, it's a complete failure. I would not recommend this product.
I had previously purchased one from another vendor and had to return it because it lacked the cable releaser; however, this one came with the cable releaser, which I was able to install without difficulty.
When compared to the OEM part, this is a good deal.
