It was a perfect fit for my 2008 Jeep JK. Up until the JL, I believe the JKs are all fairly similar. If the cables to the wheels are in good working order, the lever and the contents of the package should suffice. I just removed the two screws on the side of the console and propped it up from the back seat area. It's fairly simple to accomplish.
It'll also fit my 2010 JK.
I haven't decided yet. It was identical to the one in my 2008 JKU that I had replaced.
2007 It was easy to put together and it fit perfectly. 15- 30 min.

So, after watching a video on how to do it, I was blown away by how simple it was to install. Whatever you decide to do. DO NOT INSTALL THE RETENTION PIN UNTIL IT HAS BEEN COMPLETELY INSTALLED. I couldn't get the Jeep out of the garage after it was installed because it wouldn't back up. So, how did I manage to accomplish this? So I took it off and began again. The retention pen was a pain to get back inward, but I got it and installed it again; I tested the emergency brake again, and it appeared to work, but I couldn't get the Jeep to back out of the garage. I finally figured it out after another go at the problem. The jeep miraculously backed out of the garage without a hitch after the wheel chocks were removed. The installation should only take 15 minutes excluding the wheel chocks, which was a stupid mistake on my part. It was a very simple installation that saved me over $500 over what the dealership would have charged me for the same job.
Installation was very simple and took only about 15 minutes with simple hand tools. I now have a parking brake that actually works. Buying this over new cables is a no-brainer in my opinion. When the problem wasn't with the cables, I made the mistake of ordering new ones. Only this section was the source of the problem.
I was unsure if this part would fit my Jeep, but it did. It took me about 30 minutes to complete the task. It will take 45 minutes. How to install this brake can be found in a number of YouTube videos. It's fantastic!.
Just make sure you don't let go of the spring on the brwak. It was a breeze to get in. Simply wait until you've installed your center console before releasing the spring on the brake handle, as the brake handle must be at a 90-degree angle for the console to return to its original position. It is possible to uncoil the spring and replace the retainer if the spring is released prematurely.
My parking brake cable had become detached from the brake mechanism. I bought it and put it in. It's that easy!.
This part was exactly what I needed, and the price was reasonable. Easy to set up and adjust thanks to the ratcheting style pulley.
It's doing exactly what it should.
Although the price was a little high, the item fit perfectly.
