Used on a 2015 F150 with parking brakes that are operated manually. br>br>The kit was complete, and there were extra pins (for other uses?). After applying the parking brakes once, flipping the top spring will cause them to drag. Instructions/pictures would be helpful.
The parking brake kit was mostly OEM, with the exception of the brake shoe retaining pins and clips, which were more difficult to install than the factory ones. On one pair of shoes, I used an original pin and clip that hadn't seen much use. The springs and adjusters were in good working order.
My F250's parking brake shoes needed to be replaced, and I had all the parts I needed. I was concerned that I might be missing a component or two because the originals were missing, but this was the entire hardware kit.
The shoe clips that came with the shoes were not the same as those that came with the shoes. I was unable to put them on. The rest of it was perfect.
This item was purchased for a Silverado 2500HD. During the installation process, the spring snapped. The material appeared to be quite brittle. One of the old springs was salvaged, and the truck was able to be repaired and returned to service. br>br>Adjusters didn't fit either, so I had to go back to the originals.
For the first time in a long time, everything was spot on.
OEM-like fit and finish.
Everything I needed to replace my brake pads was on hand.
