JUNK was created! Make sure you don't throw your money away. They provide two thin nylon washers for each side of the bell crank, which go around the pivot pin and on each side of the bell crank. I was unable to install the washers because there was insufficient space for them to slide in. They were deformed and rendered useless. I noticed that the pivot housings (the part that connects to the brake back plate) are not parallel on the inside after closer inspection, despite the fact that I thought Dorman parts were good. This isn't the case. I ended up reassembling my old bell cranks by removing the pivot pin, polishing the rusted parts, and applying anti-rust paint. reinstalling after a seizure AN ABSOLUTE WASTE OF MONEY. br>br>PS: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "cre The bellcrank position is forced to one side, where it rubs, because the inside of the housing is not machined parallel.
I just finished installing the driver's side, and the only problem I ran into was having to file down the casting where the pivot arm passes through the base. The arm and nylon washers couldn't fit in the base because it was too narrow. Now it works great, and I'm using the grease that came with it to keep everything running smoothly.
When I returned to read the reviews here, everything was fine. I couldn't get the teflon bushings in between the arm and the block (apologies for the lack of technical names) after an hour of tinkering. As far as I can tell, this is a common problem. To get the washers in, you'll need to use a file to make a small hole in the block. Everything was lickity-split after that. split. These are well worth the money, but keep in mind that you'll need to use a file to free up some space.
This kit fit perfectly in a 2005 Toyota Tundra 2WD with Access Cab and 4WD. 0L V6.
It was the perfect fit. More time was spent removing old, rusted components. It was very simple to set up.
This item was designed to fit a 2004 Toyota Tundra SR5 (5. 7L). 7L V8 4WD) is a dream come true. br>In addition, this set cost a fraction of what oem parts from a Toyota dealer would have cost. br>The nylon bushings are a better design than the OEM parts (they should prevent seizing, which is a common problem with OEM parts). The only drawback is that the parts are not pre-assembled. assembled and ready for installation in its final state br>However, it provides an opportunity for the installer to ensure that they are properly greased prior to installation.
Installed a few weeks ago and they're perfect. In my opinion, they're better than OE.
They are of good quality, have a reasonable price, and are well-fitting.
