No, your truck's release handle is of a completely different design. Simply enter "parking release handle for 2000 Chevrolet pickup" into Amazon's search bar, and the appropriate model will appear. When you click on the handle that appears, you can narrow your search.
It's simple to install: depress tabs with a small flat tip screw driver to remove the old one, then push the new one onto the existing cable.
It was a perfect fit for my 1996 GMC 2500.

I have a 94 blazer with a broken release cable that I couldn't find a replacement for, so I bought a 95 blazer cable, filed out the hole a little, then installed it. After that, I needed a handle, so I found this one and snapped it on when it arrived. Just to let you know, I had to drill two small holes in the cable's front part and secure it with small screws. So, if you're in the same boat as me, here's what you should do.
Avoid. Vehicle: 1995 GMC Yukon SLT with an 8" linch, 37" tires, and a 5. 7L auto. br>It's not quite as thick as OEM. Pulling on it causes it to pop off. It's a little flimsy and uncomfortable to wear. Spend a little more money and get OEM, because this thing isn't going to last long.
This pull handle on my '96 GMC truck, which is rarely used, snapped off today while I was pulling it to release the parking brake. I can see a weak spot in the molding when I look at the part. Rather than replacing it, I'm going to use epoxy glue to repair it. Upon closer inspection of the failed area, it was clear that several air bubbles in the molding's weakest area, just to the right of the 'CHINA' label, had contributed to the failure. I wish I'd saved the original part and used epoxy to repair it.
This thing literally snapped on in a second and fits perfectly on my 1995 Chevy K2500 because it didn't have a parking brake handle. I repeatedly applied the parking brake and firmly gripped the handle, and it remained in place.
For my 1997 Chevy Tahoe, I purchased this replacement emergency brake pedal release handle. It looks just like the original, fits perfectly, and was a breeze to put together. I simply pushed in the retaining clips, and the broken one slid off with ease. Installing the new one, which slid right back over the clips and locked in place, was actually more difficult. It's long-lasting, and I can't tell it apart from the original handle.
If your truck's part has broken, this is a simple fix. This part, however, appears to be very low-cost. every time I take out my E- I have a feeling this is going to be a rip-off. So, if I can find one that feels a little more sturdy, I'll go with that.
This item fits perfectly and snaps into place. I've read reviews that say the print isn't OEM quality, but mine looks perfect. I would have sanded the print off anyways if it wasn't perfect, so it's not a deal breaker in my book.
It fit well but kept falling off, so I drilled a small hole and inserted a pin to keep it in place. But the problem isn't with the part; it's with the shaft it's attached to. So far, everything has gone swimmingly.
