These have an entrance and exit, a hole that runs the length of the cable, and a bolt that squeezes it down.

Work well as a twist handle for a Throttle Cable

My old garden tractor's throttle cable is designed to be pulled out and twisted clockwise to lock in place at the desired RPM. The plastic knob on the throttle cable stripped inside the plastic knob. I bought a new cable from the dealer, but it didn't take long for that knob to break. I had been using a small pair of vice grips, but they were too cumbersome. I removed the plastic knob from the cable end and replaced it with one of these. I had to enlarge the hole in the cable stop to fit over the throttle cable end, but it works great and is very useful for my 50-year-old garden tractor.

It's fantastic! I tried 250 pounds of all-American a$$ on the tailgate, which I repaired with this and steel cable. It held up when I bounced up and down. br>Negative: one of the ties snapped at the head. failure due to using two small wrenches to hold it down by 50 percentage of failure due to using two small wrenches It's a terrible situation:.

It's a simple product, but it gets the job done

There isn't a whole lot to say about this. It gets the job done. The use of a nut and bolt system ensures a good, secure fit on the cable. This was used as a connector for the lawn mower throttle cable.

Because there is only one hole in the product for the set screw, the wire Calle you're trying to hold butts up against the inside of the tube. I prefer sets that have two holes and a bottom stop so that cable can be inserted and held from both sides. For my application, it didn't work.
