This is the second time I've had to replace a part since I bought it. These, like the previous set (I forget when new), would not hold my 3500 Crew Cab on a boat ramp, so I'm not sure if the truck or the shoes are the problem. The parking brake linings wear out just by driving around, according to recall 05V16100 dated 04/22/2005. Perhaps a more effective solution (than this GM T. ) ) is to add a "14-" to the end of the sentence. The adjusting sleeve is secured with a 16 mm" fuel injector hose clamp. (This is a rudimentary test! )br>If bearings were replaced, the outer race of the outer bearing may migrate to the retaining clip, necessitating tightening of the hub, or else the seal will fail, causing a mess and requiring replacement of the brakes. A spongy brake pedal is an indication that the hub is loose.

These are what I used to replace the emergency brake shoes on my E350 van. There was no wiggle or anything like that, it was a perfect fit. Exactly the same as the one I removed. They seem to be holding up well; I'm not sure how the originals fared.

AAM 11 on a 2005 Silverado 2500HD Dodge uses a 5 rear axle as well. It is comfortable and functional.
