Until I failed to replace the brake fluid cap and drove away with a zero engine. Since I could lose that cap now, I needed another one as soon as possible. The color on this one is a little different from chrome, but it still fits great.
There's a slight color difference, the cap doesn't seem to be bright yellow like the OEM cap, it's more of mustard or orange, I think the material is not as thick or as resistant as you would expect. It will be interesting to see how long this There is no way to know for sure until time passes. I give it four out of five stars so far!.
It took much longer for the brake fluid in my Jeep XJ 1996 to turn black than the brake fluid in the A cap that has been airtight for over 20 years must surely be leaky. There was definitely a noticeable difference in how tight the new cap fit. Fluid in the reservoir needs to be monitored.
I can fit this cap on my Jeep Grand Cherokee with the three tab cap and despite listings to the contrary. As an alternative to buying one, I created an adapter with this cap to work with my Motive Brake Bleeder instead of spending money With a stepped drill and a bit of jb weld, you can easily fix it.
I like the Cap, but when I open it, I find that the grip is rather uncomfortable due to the improper fit. Ideally, though, if the manufacturer could design it to have a softer edge, it would be more comfortable to handle. I would like to point out one side note It is very important to know that if by any means you are replacing the whole reservoir tank, it may come with a cap, so you may not have to buy it separately.
A perfect fit and fast delivery made it the perfect purchase.
The cap was replaced after the leaky one on a 97 Cherokee started leaking. When I thought that I had a bad brake fluid leak, it turned out to be a broken These caps cost more because of the feature on the underside which allows them to breathe. It might sound crazy, but before you drive yourself nuts looking for leaks, try flushing the fluid from the top of your master cylinder reservoir.
I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it works great. This is a bit different from the stock cap it's more orange in color The color is yellow, but fits perfectly. I was a little concerned because I was unable to find anything indicating that it was compatible, however it turned out to be the same size as the old one.
