The answer is yes. There are a total of 5 holes on this valve There are two inputs from the master cylinder, one output to the rear brakes, and two outputs (one for each of the front wheels) to the brakes. There are no instructions or labels on the ports for the proportioning valve, which worked. The connection process took a lot of time to find out how to do. For each front brake, the two connections 7/16x24 and 1/2x20 are the inlets, the 9/16x18 is for the drum at the back, and the two 3/8x24 are for each of the disk brakes at the front. A proportional valve can be used with either 1/4 or 3/16 tubing, depending on the design.
I had a disc in the front and a drum at the rear on my '84 CJ7. The fittings are all correct except for the rear outlet that is 9/16 instead of I had to buy an adapter. I am OK with it, since it is a generic part applicable to many applications. Furthermore, I had to acquire the wiring plug and connect it to Jeep's wiring due to the connector's differences.
I had to do some work to get it plumbed, but it wasn't too difficult. Upon installing it, the brake calipers of my friend began locking up, so I thought it was something else, so I replaced the front calipers, rear wheel cylinders, and master cylinder in order to solve the problem, but the brakes are still locked. A metering valve in these cheaper units is having problems, according to something I read.
The valve is very well made and well constructed. The only problem is that it has 5 ports of different sizes to which I would have to find adapters to make it fit on my classic car, which uses only As such, I will be returning it in order to find a valve that does the job.
For my plow truck, this is what I bought. To extend and replace all the factory equipment, I had to cut off all the factory fittings Please re-read Once this was done, the pipes worked fine. We had to adapt the lines from metric to standard fittings and add pipe, but it was worth it. If you don't have a flare tool, you might be able to find adapters for all the lines.
just needed 1 part from this so we didn't have to replace the whole device and were able to just use the part that was defective. This saved us a lot of money and also saved us a lot of hassle.
After plugging the top hole, I used it on my S10. Compared to my S10, this was $26 and it was $45 for that one.
Everything else was too expensive. I installed it and now my brakes work! A special thanks to.
