Questions & Answers

What is the best way to determine if the 3/16 stainless brake line protectors will fit over the fittings or if you need to remove those fittings first?

There is no way for it to cover fittings.

What is the number of this stainless steel? Do you know if it is magnetic?

It is made out of 302 stainless steel, according to TheStopShop. There is some magnetic quality to the product I received.

If this is SS hose protector polished and not grey SS, can it be bright or dull silver in appearance?

Unlike chrome, the line protector kit I purchased is also stainless steel in colour. It does not have a mirror like finish, but it does have a reasonable shine to it. This may be of some help to you.

Is there a risk that it will slide over once fittings are installed?

No. For this spring guard to fit over an open line, you will need an open clearance.

In the new Collator build by Ammo Mike
5/5

I plan to use it as a bullet collation device. As it has worked for everyone else who pointed me directly to this link, I am confident that it will work for me as well. A 9mm and a The 300Blk package. I'd like to extend my thanks to Ammo Mike for his outstanding contributions I'm sure Odin will bless you with many blessings because you appear to be a fine gentleman.

A sturdy rock guard is a valuable addition to your copper nickel brake lines
5/5

I recently replaced my brake lines with the copper nickel lines and wanted to keep the factory rock guard, so this was a really good option for me. It also looks factory when used in conjunction with steel lined rock guards, even with copper lines, the stainless dominates the appearance, which is a good way to hide the fact that you are using It is necessary to compress the material when you install it if you want it to cover the whole wall. The length of the spring makes it such that you can easily compress it to allow flaring at the second end so long as the length is about 24" or longer. There may be some who wonder why this is available in stainless, and not in A cost issue is more likely than a sales issue or a functionality issue. It is possible that regular steel is marginally cheaper than stainless steel, but it won't last As a rock guard, copper nickel might not be as strong as it needs to be. The best material for this project is stainless steel.

An honest review of the stainless steel gravel guard
5/5

I do older car restorations and off-road truck customizations, and I like using the stainless steel. The stainless steel looks great, is easy to work with and provides protection Combining this stainless steel gravel guard with the nickel copper line will make your car look like a show car while giving you a reasonable price tag.

The proof is in the animal! My gas line was cut! Eeeks! He looked under my truck and told me someone had infiltrated it
5/5

My truck was jacked up after I got home and I found more droppings inside along with a hole in the line. I cut it apart and attached smurf tubing and barbed the ends so they wouldn't fall apart. A second section was cut two weeks later, so it did not work. In mice, gas addiction must be a strong urge. I must be the power cables like licorice. I tried it on the 4th lamp cable and they sat there discussing how to get through, frustrated that they couldn't The brake line protector is supposed to prevent brake lines from breaking, but it works just fine! . . . and the bunnies have now unplugged the lamp from the wall since the mouse is in rehab.

Taking the necessary measures to protect nickel A copper brake line would be better than a nickel-plated one
5/5

Brake lines made with copper are more resistant to corrosion. In spite of putting a pretty tight 180° bend on the original line at the wheel where the rubber hose goes over to the brake calipers, it was still easy to slide to where I wanted it.

This listing had a description, and I'm glad it had one
5/5

It took a few minutes for me to come to the realization that this was on my vehicle and was on replacement steel lines that should connect to In light of the fact that my vehicle already had coil shaped protectors, I wasn't sure whether I This listing had a description, and I'm glad it had one. You can read about the Granite Guard in our book, There is no need to worry about the powder coating going off because I am using it over powder coated lines not Stainless Steel, which is the best protection since powder coats won't be affected by gravel pitting.

This is an especially useful feature when running Nicopp around engine frame rails
5/5

The brake line kit along with Nicopp was purchased for a 98 Explorer to replace the brake lines. Besides providing protection in and around the wheel well, I found it extremely helpful when running the Nicopp in the frame rail and behind and underneath the engine, especially since it provides structural rigidity and prevents line Even though it was a bit more expensive, it was well worth it.
