Questions & Answers

Do the threads on the 3/8 female end have any?

I mentioned above that this product had 3/8" male and female ends, and I left a comment to that effect. It isn't the case. br>I bought the product today and installed it. On one end, it's a 3/8" male NPT, while the other is a 1/2" female flared swivel. br>I used this to finish my conversion from a single tank to a dual propane system. The 1/2 female flared swivel completed the connection to the main line going into my 2016 Coachmen trailer, and the 3/8" male NPT threaded into the outlet of the new dual regulator. br>The four-foot hose was more than sufficient. I could have gotten away with 40" to 42" if I had wanted to. br>Excellent product at a reasonable price.

This hose is compatible with the regulator, but not with my RV. It's a colossal waste of space. Is there a device that I could use as an adapter?

Hello,br>There are a variety of adapters available to fit various types of connections. br>The most common NPT connections are 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" NPT, and regulators come in a variety of sizes. br>I don't have any way of knowing which one you have or require, but I'm sure you can find out if you look up RV specifications on the internet. You'll find the right fitment or adapter for your needs, whether it's an LP connector or something else. I wish there was more I could do to assist you.br> br>Wishing you all the best!

Could one end be screwed into the other end just to clarify fitting sizes?

A 3/8" MNPT x 1/2" Female Flare Swivel, as well as two different sizes on the ends, are included in this Thermo Plastic Hose Assembly.

Is it possible to run this hoseon agenerator on dual fuel? If not, where would I be able to locate one for an agenerator?

I'd like to respond to your question with a question of my own. DUEL FUEL, exactly what is it? What is the difference between LP and NG? Yes, that is correct. br>However, not every device (stove, generator, refrigerator, etc.) can handle both types of fuels; they are designed to handle one or the other.

It's unfortunate that the size changes
3/5

Whatever regulator/supply side assembly you use, the 3/8" end will fit perfectly. Regrettably, I did not examine the situation closely enough: The other end is 1/2" in diameter. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with it, but it won't connect to any of the 3/8" devices I have that take input from a regulated tank. Perhaps 1/2" fittings are required for specific RV applications, but the fact that this one changes size is particularly inconvenient, as my requirements do not change. To even see if this works, I'll have to order a new part.

This is exactly what I needed to complete the upgrade from a single tank to a dual tank system on my travel trailer
5/5

After reading comments in the Q&A section that this hose had 3/8" male and female ends, I was a little confused at first. It isn't the case. 3/8" male NPT x 1/2" female flared swivel, according to the full product description. and you are correct. br>The 3/8" male NPT threads into the new dual regulator outlet, while the 1/2" female flared swivel threads into the trailer's main line.

For a camper, this is the ideal repair
5/5

My 19-foot Keystone passport camper fit in perfectly. My camper has two propane tanks, each with its own combining switch and valve. This hose replaced the hose that was failing between the combining switch/valve and the steel pipe underneath the camper.

This is an excellent substitute
5/5

For a 15-year-old hose, this is a good replacement. The only difference is that the brass fitting's walls are thinner than mine. It fits perfectly, but the brass is of a thinner gauge. Because brass is so expensive, I'm guessing they cut the amount of brass used in the fittings. The heavy-duty brass fittings aren't the same as they used to be. They had to cut costs somewhere, though, because they were using expensive raw materials like copper and brass.

It's possible that you'll need an adapter or a coupler
4/5

Pay close attention to both ends of the spectrum. This hose was required to complete my Cherokee Wolfpup camper's dual propane upgrade. The factory-installed regulator's hose was too short to reach the new regulator's mounting location. This hose connects to the new regulator fine, but at least one end has been reduced from 1/2 to 3/8. Because my camper's water supply is 1/2 female, I'll need an adapter/coupler to make this hose work. It was necessary to use a 3/8 female to 1/2 male flair, and everything went smoothly and the hose was installed perfectly. Don't forget the thread tape in yellow! The two sizes are listed in the description, but keep in mind that this hose may not fit out of the box.

40" LP gas hose, ideal length - female flare 1/2 inch To make room for a second battery, I placed the RV battery on the trailer's front tray
5/5

Unfortunately, my existing 32" long LP gas hose was insufficient for this battery case reconfiguration. I took careful measurements to determine the proper hose size. I could have bought a 48" hose, but I didn't want to put extra strain on the connections.

The propane line on the RV should be extended
5/5

I needed this to extend the main propane line on my camper, and this was exactly what I needed. I needed a few more feet of propane line from the regulator to the appliances on my RV, and this worked out perfectly. The only thing missing was a single flare fitting, which I was able to pick up for a few dollars at my local hardware store.

The information on the website is incorrect
3/5

The web description says 3/8" MNPT x 1/2" Female Flare Swivel, but what I got was 3/8" MNPT x 3/8" Female Flare Swivel. I'm not sure if I got the wrong product or they attached the wrong fitting, but I got 3/8" MNPT x 3/8" Female Flare Swivel. Unless you're driving up into the mountains to replace a line at a cabin and don't have access to a hardware store to pick up a quick $5 adapter, there's not much of a difference. It's not the end of the world, but I'm unable to cook right now because the description is incorrect and will not fit. Check what you receive; it may not be exactly what you ordered.
