The lock cylinder on my driver's side door was ruined due to an improperly installed key. I must have spent hours searching for a new one. The installation was very easy and the product fit perfectly.

I found it to be a perfect match for my Avalanche 1500 2004. It was quite the pain in the ass to install the little convex, square, brass, locking washer or whatever you call it, on the back of the cylinder. must press it flat against the surface to get it to slide into place properly. On one end, there is a tiny tab that prevents it from slipping out once it is seated properly.

The OEM price is $145 plus a locksmith fee of $150. This fits perfectly and is much less than the OEM price. In the long run, I have a great deal considering I have two keys. One for the lock and one for the ignition, but I have both keys on my other vehicles anyway.
