Can you tell me how big the base is? How long does it take to install this into a 1988 JVC boombox, for the CD ?

In this case, 0 is the size. Two by zero. Five by zero. An 8-inch binder is a fairly standard size for most purposes. In my 2007 Salem travel trailer, I had trouble closing the CD door on the built-in stereo. I was able to fit this latch perfectly into it.

The old latch on the door needs to be removed. How do you do it?

With needle nose pliers, I removed the guts from the old fuse / breaker panel, crushed the housing (wide direction, from the opposite side you took the guts out of it), and it collapsed enough to let me get past the tabs that held it in place. It's fairly easy to remove the entire thing without damaging any of the other sections of it. There isn't much material holding it in place. If you don't have to remove the housing from the breaker box, you won't even need to turn off the power.

Can this latch be used on the wf-model door Where is 89553pc?

The model number is no longer with me, and I am unable to check it since I am no longer using the camper. Having used it on my unit, I can tell you it fits perfectly and works well.

This is an excellent solution
5/5

It is likely that you have come across a WFCO Converter in your travels since almost all RV manufacturers employ them. I have never been overly impressed with the quality of these converters, as I have been with many RV components. On our most recent trip in our travel trailer, the latch on the converter door malfunctioned, leaving it hanging open near the entrance to the It was the right choice for me to use this relatively inexpensive fix. The whole front of the unit could have been replaced for a few hundred dollars and a few hours of time, but instead, I fixed the problem for less than a ten dollar bill and five minutes. I would never go to the dealer for this. There is no complicated installation process with this product. My needle nose pliers were used to carefully remove the old latch, taking care not to scratch the plastic housing or the area surrounding it. I am not sure what happened with the old latch, but you can see parts of it left behind in the pictures. A reasonable amount of force is enough to slide the new one right in. If you need a replacement latch, you can order it from Amazon.

This part is an exact replacement for the original part it's like new again
5/5

The pros are The following *br A replacement that is exactly the same- Worked exactly as it should - The replacement process is quick. The cons The following *br For what it is, I found this to be a bit expensive

I bought it It was difficult to keep the fuse panel door closed, so I jammed a piece of cardboard into the gap around the edges to prevent it from opening. It occurred to me that I did not have to buy an entirely new cover once I saw this replacement part. With the help of some pliers, I extracted the old part from its hold (it was firmly inserted). When I had the old part out, I snapped the new one right in and it worked just.

I was able to easily replace the broken latch due to the perfect fit
5/5

In order to install this new one, you simply line it up from the front side of the panel and push it in until it clicks into place. Worked great for me! This easy and cost-effective fix eliminates the need to duck tape the panel closed.

The fix is simple and easy
5/5

Yesterday, I received this in the mail. Happy to have found this company. Having this little problem fixed made my life so much easier. Having been without it for over a year, I'm in need of a new one. Looking for a replacement would have been great if I had thought of it I was able to replace my WFCO WF-100 with this item The latch on the door is 8735. An ideal way to remove the old latch is to insert a small jeweler's screwdriver from the back and slide it along both sides If there is still a previous door on the RV, simply slide the old one out (the side facing the RV's interior). After inserting the new one, rewind the old one.

You're going to charge me 8 dollars Yes, I know that there are few replacements for these things out there, so I was somewhat surprised when the options came up

As well as you, I had a door that wouldn't shut, and in our case, it was directly above the area where our dog's food and water dishes are located. It was a hassle for her as the door would come down every time she bumped into the wall or a dish. I guess I should have known better. Having the breaker switches and fuses exposed didn't seem like a good idea, which is why I ended up buying The only complaint is the price. Eight bucks for a simple piece of plastic and If/when it fails the next time, I will use a fix used by another customer There is also a Polar White Ducted Air Grille (you can find it on Amazon too) that comes with a plastic turn button. There's a picture of it in the review, and check it out. In addition, I used the turn button trick to turn on the AC grill.

You're a savior spare! The installation only received a 4 star rating because of the difficulty in removing the old, broken clasp
5/5

It ended up being impossible to get it out without breaking the thing into pieces. I am glad my fuse box is now closed again the new one went in without an issue. The price was excellent as well. Though I'm likely to buy another since the springs are a little flimsy now I wonder if it might break again?.

It's an expensive little piece of plastic, but it works well
4/5

The cost is higher, but it is less expensive than buying a brand Put away all that stuff about using needles- To take out in pieces with needle-nose pliers. If you want to get to the back, you simply have to remove the face plate. Use a small screw driver to pop the plastic ears loose, then you'll be able to remove it effortlessly. Usually, it takes five minutes or less to replace the battery.

When removing the old latch, you should be patient
5/5

I have fixed it perfectly. A latch like this is a huge improvement over having to tape the door shut, or spending $35+ just for a We're going to have to remove the old latch it's not an easy job. It is necessary to use a very small screwdriver or other blade - To depress the tiny portions on the side which hold it in, you need to reach back and depress the small bits. Simply press the new latch in until it clicks into place after you have removed the old one.
