Questions & Answers

My existing cruise control switch covers are rubber. Would it be possible to replace only the rubber covers?

A switch's cover is a part of it. Adding the switch to a computer network is a piece of cake. You can follow the instructions on 'U' Tube. Even if you put them in the sun, your mounting brackets will eventually break.

Is this part compatible with 1995 or 1996 Ford Ranger models?

Although they were an exact fit on my 1999 Explorer, I am not sure.

This includes switch, switch hardware, and wire hardware, is that correct?

A switch is attached to the left side of the steering wheel, and serves as an on and off switch. This kit includes the old switch, the resume, the acel, and the coast switches as well as all of the wires inside the steering wheel. All the items you see in the photo are

Can this be installed in my 1999 Ford Explorer XLT?

My 1996 Ford Explorer's owner told me it would not fit on this site. In spite of this, I ordered it. Once I received it, I took it out of the box and noticed the ground wire was on the left side, but there was a screw on the left side where it was mounted, and I fixed it, and it now Because we are of the same generation, I think it would fit your 1999. If I were you, I would replace the one you have. Based on Dorman's replacement, I had to pay It took about 30 minutes to complete the task.

It's time to take action! We provide better quality than OEM and have lifetime warranties
5/5

My father-in-law and I both bought one for MY Explorer as well in the past, but I loved it so much that we immediately bought it for him again. Rangers are sworn to protect the law. It is important to note that not only are the letters backlit with the correct GREEN color, but the font is the newer square font design instead of Buying is easy and if you're looking - we'd love to hear from you! Easily mounts and fits perfectly, the rubber is smooth and of high quality. The ground terminal is held in place by a plastic peg so that it does not rotate while it is tightened There is no comparison between this unit and the OEM model. There is even a lifetime warranty on this item. The same can't even be said of Ford. The installation literally only involves removing the NEGATIVE battery terminal and the horn pad/air bag bolts, removing the horn spring brackets (which prevent the worn out parts from being removed) and removing the old buttons (they block them from coming out).
Trust me when I say a replacement can be performed by anyone.

The switches are great! I would buy them Because of the usual surface cracking and peeling of the buttons, I have had to replace the switches on my 2002 Ranger
4/5

Due to the high cost of buying replacements, I kept tolerating the problem. It was a large drop in price in a blink of an eye. While I was concerned about the drop in quality, I found the replacement switches to be of adequate quality. Various switches were delivered on time (as fast as a company can deliver in Hawaii, anyway) and they looked and felt brand new. Youtube provided instructions on how to repair the switches, and then I installed them. The Youtube video on how to install it was not followed completely by me. My method of replacing the steering wheel switches was to carefully unplug the old switch from the wiring harness and replace it with a new one. A total of twenty to thirty minutes appeared to have been required for the whole job It will take up to 30 minutes, excluding the time it takes for the system to run completely It is recommended that you reconnect the battery after disconnecting it. This step shouldn't be skipped at all! It is possible that you could have the airbag blow up in your face and be seriously injured!

I performed a road test after repairs were made to ensure that the airbag was working. There were no issues with any of the functions, and the switches felt solid. Considering the price point, the illumination on the switches may be a little darker than the factory switches, but it is still close enough to the factory switches. When removing the wires from the switch, be VERY careful to not damage them. If you simply switch out the switches, you do not get to replace the harness. Just gently pull while wiggling the wires and they will come out. There is a lot of fragility in these.

The installation process is straightforward
5/5

Installs easily since it is a direct fit. The wiring that came with the unit did not have to be disassembled, since I did not want to disassemble the existing We gently removed the new connectors from the switches with needle nose pliers. It plugs straight into the connectors on the old harness. When I turn off the headlights, my headlights do light up with white light. I got what I wanted at a good price and it was easy to install. Referring to the installation on a 2001 Ford Explorer Sport 4x4, they were installed on that vehicle.

Initially switched to the wrong switch, so returned it
4/5

time switches easy to install (my skill level is good. I had a good experience testing the first set of switches. A speed should be set By using the control, the acceleration is achieved In the event of stepping on the brake, the speed control would go dead. A new speed was locked and the coast was pushed and the curse control stopped However, I had no luck in making any further attempts. In the morning, I'll drop it off at the UPS store. My luck is with the second one that I ordered. Switches could be returned easily if they failed. There was a second set of switches immediately after the first. Having installed them the next day, I tested all functions and found that everything was operating as expected. It is rare for me to drive this vehicle, but my wife hit a deer and it is her We have had no problems with the controls for our cruise. The product is one I would buy again without a second thought.

Replaced it years ago but should have done so earlier! The 2002 Ford Ranger XLT was fitted with this
5/5

I had to press a lot of force to press my cruise control switches, as they had become stiff. It got even stiffer and was very hard to press them in the winter. Since I could not use the CC feature at all, I just gave up using it. I wish I had ordered this new set of switches sooner! They are so affordable and easy to install, I wish I had done it years In order to install this, you will need to disconnect the battery and remove the airbag, but if you still have the old wire harness, you will only have to disconnect the battery and remove the airbag. If you have to replace the wiring harness, you can simply remove it at the switch and replace it with the new one right there, no need to unplug. These little buttons are very convenient, and when pushed in, they give you a nice clicky bump. Despite its softness and pliability, the rubber is of high quality, as is the lettering. The wire harness is not necessary as I did not use it, but it looks just like the original wire harness, so I'm keeping it as a spare just in case I lose my original wires. It is true that the green backlighting on the switches are extremely dim, and the off button is illuminated slightly brighter than the on button, but the original switches were really no better lit anyway, so I don't think of this as a downside. Five stars overall!.

The 3rd generation Ford Ranger Edge 3 works with the 2003 model
5/5

The engine has a 0 flex fuel capacity. The pros and cons of these products There were not many OEM replacements reputable companies offered, but I took a chance because I was saving money. The wires from the OEM are still in place, and I just changed As with my OEM gauges, the replacements have a green backlight. The issues others reported regarding non-compliant software are not relevant to me A malfunction light may appear in your gauge cluster after you press certain buttons, the horn may sound when certain buttons are depressed, or other malfunction indicators could sound. I was quite easily able to find online tutorials about replacing the screen. The entire process of opening the box, taking it apart, and storing it took me 15 minutes. A couple of things stood out to me 2) The OEM wire harness connectors (female) do not grip as tightly onto the (male) metal pins on the new switches as they did on My concern about the left (ON/OFF) switch was misplaced, but once everything is reinstalled (in particular the airbag assembly), the connector has no place After I unhooked the left factory harness, it came straight off with just a little bit of effort. I had some trouble with the right OEM connector because it was so hard to remove because it was so tightly sealed. As long as this part does not fail unreasonably soon, I will give it 5 stars. The OEM cost me sixty dollars more than this.
