Questions & Answers

Is it true that they will "light up" like the ones on my 2001 Ford Explorer?

In all honesty, I don't know why I didn't use the whole thing, as I only used the covers, not the switch. That's all right.

The one in question This is the BA version, not the D77A-version Our search continued, and we discovered that fitment was possible. The Ford Ranger is a popular midsize pickup truck Those years are 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 and Toyota Pickup Model B3000 I have a long list of references to 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and Hence, I believe that it might be possible to install it. It may, however, not be possible to use some functions. Try them and if they do not work, return to the shop.

cruise dash light shows for a split second and then goes out. Activates the curise feature but not the cursor. Would you mind sharing your thoughts?

The wiring in mine is not getting the full connection so far, but it does seem to get hot when I put lights on so far it has no problems, I am just worried maybe it is defective wiring and not receiving the full signal.

Install is quick and easy
5/5

Changing wipers can be just as easy as changing the Make sure the battery is disconnected and letting it drain for some time so the airbag does not go off, remove 2 8 mm nuts on the side of the column, unplug the connection with pliers and used a Philip's head screwdriver to replace the plug. We should have put it in place That worked like a charm. No more trying to find that one spot to get it to Take a look at it on YouTube. A half-hour job will cost you $20.

I had a Mazda B4000 with the same part
5/5

Having tested everything that works in a Ford Ranger on my Mazda B4000, I am certain that everything that will work in my Mazda will work as well, even though Amazon said it would be impossible. It merely took me 15 minutes, taking my time, to install them, and they worked like a charm. The process could not be easier, but you should watch a couple Youtube videos before making the change. Considering that these don't ship with the replacement cables, I'm fine with that as changing the cables seemed to be an unnecessary step To remove the cable, remove the screws holding the buttons first. Then wiggle the cable gently out of the way. Many users on YouTube found it easy to break the cable by yanking on it or using pliers to pull it I was able to wiggle the cables around a bit to get them to come off once I moved the buttons and the cables were very stuck to the unit (having been there for 23 years). Take advantage of the opportunity to have.

It is as if the problem was solved and then it became unsolvable The buttons, especially the right one, get very hot (warm) when you turn them on
3/5

I would have given it 5 stars if they weren't so warm. The originals did the same thing so it may be in their nature. 77 is a great age for retirement. You can help her install them, or you can do it yourself Videos on Youtube that teach you how to do things. Then a few months after that- I had no trouble getting it to work for the first couple of months, but now I can't turn it on and the lights on the left (on/off) button do not illuminate. My days of being a happy camper are over. Does it feel like junk or is it like.

This is good, but some of the headlights do get hot when they're A YouTube video will show you how to install it! I like it very much! After purchasing a new project truck, I had to get rid of the old ones
4/5

During the course of about 10 minutes, both sides had been replaced. The lower buttons of the headlights get hot when they are on, which is why I'm giving this product 4 stars. By reducing the brightness of the instrument cluster, I found that it made the problem a little easier to solve. Except for that, everything appears to be working as expected. If that occurs, I will post an update.

I have no problems installing it
5/5

Despite the fact that the cruise control on my 1999 Ranger was always working fine, the cover on the switch buttons was In the end, I only needed these replacement switches, and I did not need the wiring. It was a little nerve-wracking to replace these without first disconnecting the battery, since I feared damaging the switch by connecting the old ones and removing the old ones, but there were no problems. In my pickup, I installed new switches that work just like the originals and the interior is much nicer than it was before.

As expected, the item(s) worked
4/5

In addition to the text lights behind the buttons, there are buttons on this CC control which work. There is a bit of a crappy quality to the text. The ribbon cable must be unplugged from the back of each unit in order to use them, which is why people would buy the ones that came with the harness attached, and pull the steering wheel out to install them. If you try to pull the cable out by using the ribbon cable, you could possibly pull the cable off the socket. You must pry the ribbon cables connector apart using a small screwdriver from the back, where there's a notch you can leverage against. This was only a week ago that I installed these. There is no set life expectancy for this species.

As if they were originals, the look and fit are perfect
5/5

Two on/off switches were received when I ordered Warehouse returns. I have asked for a return and copied the return papers from the email. Please re-read Switches were ordered in just two days and were delivered in three. It is very easy to unplug/plug the switches and very easy to route the wiring (this time for both switches). Ordered switches without wiring again and would recommend it, as routing the wiring looks difficult and it is very easy to unplug/plug the The process is similar to plugging in a lamp.

It turns out that we needed to wire the device after all
3/5

this would be a better choice for me than the one that came with the wiring due to this statement in the description "Internal wiring harnesses are extremely difficult to damage, do not normally require replacement, and are difficult to install. ". Well guess what, we won't have to spend any energy! There was a problem with the wiring connector. You should just have the wiring kit in the event you need it since instead of my cruise working at all at the moment, I am waiting for.
