Non-marring plastic (I use it on the bottom of my golf cart windshield as a wear guard)
There's no need to open it; simply drive it against the edge with a rubber hammer.
Its shape is created by small metal pieces embedded within the structure. It has plating on it, but I'm not sure how well it would withstand pool chemicals. br>If it starts to rust, you can always remove it and replace it with solid rubber car door trim, which comes in a variety of colors on a roll.

I gave it two stars because I believe it would have worked well for the purpose I had in mind (to keep an exercise ball holder from sliding on a tile floor) - However, it reeked of chemical/petroleum. I tried leaving it outside for two weeks to see if the smell would go away, but it was almost as strong as the day I got it - As a result, I'm giving it back to you.
The item was delivered in perfect condition. This item outlasts the cheap plastic edge trim that came with another automotive installation kit. The steel inner core adds a lot of rigidity to this product, and I expect it to last a long time. Regardless, the installation was simple, and the product adhered to the edges well. No more exposed sharp sheet metal, and it also doubles as automotive door trim, protecting other people's cars from my toddler/wife opening their own doors.
I took two large thin metal salad bowls and turned them into bathroom sinks, and they worked great except for the fact that water tended to run up and over the sides. Plus, after a while, the paint chipped off the rim, so I bought this product, which not only looks great but also serves the dual purpose of preventing splashing and protecting the rim. Stays put, but requires some effort to remove; it will not come off with normal use. I'm also confident that it would be effective in protecting people from the sharp edges of sheet metal, which is what it was designed for.
I used plastic sheets as the material for a canopy over a door in my garage studio, but I needed to seal the edges to keep moisture out. This is adequate. . . but there is most likely a better solution. Although I'm not using it on purpose, it's probably ideal for its original purpose.
made with care In my Polaris Rzr UTV, I installed a polycarbonate rear window, but I had to cut 3/4 circles out of the top to fit speakers. This bead was used on the Enders that I cut, not only to make it look like it was made that way, but also to provide some padding since it's right next to the speakers. It was a perfect fit and worked flawlessly. It has made me very happy.
It is easily bendable. And it's not going anywhere. This was used to cut a hole in sheet metal for a BBQ grill. The hole is large enough for an LP gas hose to pass through. The edge of the sheet metal had abraded and harmed the old gas hose. The new gas hose, on the other hand, will not be.
This product performed admirably in my application. The bright yellow core is my only criticism. To match the exterior, it should be black.
I used it as a "wear edge" for my new golf cart windshield. It's securely fastened, and it appears to be doing its job. The purchase was a great success.
